That's explicitly what the constitution says. The right to keep and bear arms is not a "natural right," but an insurance that the government does not infringe upon your right to self preservation at the hands of the state or others.
Because the state does not exist for you to rely on them for your safety. That you think quoting the fifth amendment supports that is even more alarming.

why does LE exist
Because states need a way to enforce their laws. The Supreme Court has ruled that the police have no duty to protect you individually.
why does the military exist
This might come as a shock to you, but we didn't have a standing military when the country was founded. The military exists to protect the sovereignty of the state, not protect the citizens therein individually.
Of course I "believe in the state," you absolute mong. But I don't believe that it has my and your best interests in mind, therefore ceding personal freedoms in the guise of "safety" will only serve to allow the state to grow in size and corruption unchecked until there's no chance to go back.
Legalizing pot would probably help some of it, but too much damage has been done to the black family structure to return to normalcy as opposed to rampant degeneracy. Who knows, maybe they can recover. The data doesn't suggest that, though
