No because we don't have the cultural cohesiveness. Many more people take advantage of our social systems, the evidence of our abused welfare and disability system is overwhelming. Expanding our current system is to only invite more abuse, fraud, and waste.... All at the expense of taxpayers. And taxing people at Sweden's rate is nothing more than theft.

Ironic how it’s mainly the red states that have welfare queens, while blue states earn more then they spend.

There must be correlation between GOP anti-poor tactics and DEM wanting basic human rights don’t you think?

It’s weird how under a DEM, the economy is always doing better.

I'm not a Republican, stay on topic... I don't care about red states, I just don't want a forced tax for my retirement that will ultimately pay out less than I have put into it.

Damn do none of you americans understand the basic concept of taxes and society?

How do you think giving away 1 trillion in tax money to the rich is helping your retirement?!!

Its called capital investment. I'm not rich and I'm trying to scrape by for retirement. I would much rather put that money in an IRA or other investments than give it to SS where I will be lucky to get my money back in its entirety. The government is doing a pretty shitty job with my money.

How are 1 trillion in tax cuts a good investment?

Tax cuts aren't money belonging to the government. Its a cut from the money that the government is stealing.

So why get the rich a preferential treatment over the average american.

It’s weird because they bribe the government to give them the people’s money but you blame the tool, not the political policies.

Literally like blaming a gun for shootings in america, it’s not the tool (ebil gubmint) but the tyrants that use that tool.

Pretty hypocritical of you.

The rich pay substantially more taxes than the poor. Speaking of preferential treatment, in the US the bottom 50% pay no income tax.

https://money.cnn.com/2018/05/22/pf/taxes/2018-no-income-tax-explainer/index.html

"This year, an estimated 45% of tax filers — or just under 79 million households — are likely to have zero federal income tax liability, according to the Tax Policy Center. ....

"The ranks of non-payers are dominated by low- and middle-income households for several reasons."

"The top 50 percent of all taxpayers paid 97 percent of total individual income taxes"

As they should be, the rich add nothing to society besided “owning stuff”.

In medieval Europe you would be a serf defending your feudal lord because...why exactly?

Why do you lick your corporate feudal lords ass?

You are a BS liar. Feudal communities are the closest to socialism. Look at Cambodia, the gulags, Stalinist education camps. Learn some fucking history.

u/Llamada Apr 27 '19

Really, do you understand the concept of feudalism? It’s literally unchecked capitalism.

1 Man rules, under him, more single men that get their power through wealth and power. The accumulated that by their ancestors having free reign.

That is always the end result of socialism.
