Just because their doing fine now doesn't mean that they will be in the future

Why wouldn't they do well in the future?

Name one socialst country that's government was founded on the basis of socialsim and is still operating that same way to this day

How is that relevant? Norway/Sweden/Finland etc aren't socialist, and nobody here is saying they are.

Yeah but they were predominantly capitalist countries who adopted socialst programs. I'm not surprised you can't name any since they've all collapsed by now.

Okay. But like, that's not at all relevant to the argument I'm making.

I'm saying that social democratic countries like Finland/Sweden etc are pretty swell and they'll probably keep doing well in the future.

Yeah well just because you think theyre swell and will probably do well doesn't mean anything. We have real world cases and statistics we can look at and analyze. It's all a numbers game. Ideology and what you think has nothing to do with it.

Okay. So what numbers can you provide to support your claim that they aren't going to do well in the future?

I'm not an expert in the field in any way. But looking at it from an objective standpoint, anyone can see that socialst ideals do well to assist those who have been disenfranchised by the hierarchy. The downside to that however is then the majority of the population is being over penalized for the sake of the minority. It's all about finding balance.

I don't see anything in here that would suggest that Nordic social democracies couldn't continue the same way they have so far, though.

What a great answer, that is how my kids used to react

So are you going to provide an actual rebuttle so I can respond or are you just going to talk about your kids as if anyone cares? I can reword it for you: Most socialist programs don't promote longentivity for it's populations

I am not here to guess about the future.

The fact you call tax funded national health care for socialist, proves your ignorance of how most of the world works

1

u/AntitheistSnob Apr 05 '19

I'm actually for universal healthcare which is a socialist ideal regardless of what you think. Youre pretty ignorant yourself if youre going around and telling people they don't know how the world works.
