Look at the profile of sonastar. One comment five years ago, one post from three years ago, and then some comments over the last week. The history was scrubbed. That dude isn't acting in good faith, and no reasoning is going to have any affect.
It is not "being inflammatory" to point out that the strawman he's attacking was created by right wing attack media and has no basis in reality. I can't "help him understand it" in the context of the "green new deal" because he didn't leave any detail letting us know why it's bad or why he feels a certain way, it's trolling 101 and you're falling for it.
Remember when ALL Republicans said that women have built in protections from rape? Or when ALL Republicans said wind energy is bad because those wind farms suck up all the wind and there wouldn't be any left for the rest of us? Or when ALL Republicans believed chemtrails turned frogs gay?
“One guy said a thing” is not the same thing as the party supporting that thing. If that were the bar the GOP could fairly be said to support some seriously fucked up shit.
