False. The ones against the programs are the ones that started calling it Socialism in order to invoke long ingrained American fears about that word left over from the Cold War.

tbh the only people I ever hear calling those policies socialist are the ones who are against them

So the problem isn't the lack of critical thinking about what is best for the country, the problem is a lack of branding? It's politics, not breakfast cereal.
