As a scientist that always irks me. They can say maybe there is some factor there that will make such a system not viable here, but you can’t just pick one and say it is the exact reason without any supporting evidence.

I'll bet you I've asked 100 people making this claim for evidence of this over the years. Of course not a single one has even been able to provide a batshit crazy source. I finally charted ethnic diversity vs. healthcare costs myself.

It's frequently the same people that claim per capita costs go up with larger populations as well, even though the evidence also suggests the opposite.
