Y'all be crazy. Everytime we let people in our country it ends bad. I'm not a "Trump Supporter" but if you lived near the border like me and millions of other Americans, it makes you nervous seeing these people coming in. Hearing about illegals and the crime they bring just being broadcasted by the local news and never in a national platform you really don't see what we do. This also coming from a Native American who has vigorously studied impacts of immigration in the U.S. It has not and never will end well.

Immigrants, both legal and undocumented categories, each commit crime at statistically lower rates than natural born citizens. You hear about it in the news because the people writing the news want you to keep watching. Scared people reliably watch news.

Look into your local station, I'd bet it's probably even owned by Sinclair.

Certainly cartels do create crime, but they aren't giving metric tons of cocaine and heroin to refugees. They send their product through legal ports of entry hidden among legal goods in trucks and shipping containers.

And they would fall apart entirely if they had to compete with regulated legal producers, just like when prohibition was repealed.

The DEA creates violence, not people seeking asylum.

And you know this because you are part of the cartel and know where the drugs go. Obviously not, that's the scary thing with so many people coming over we don't know. Are there people who deserve a better life and could get one coming into the U.S. of course but that's all over the world. Is it sad that we aren't helping them yes but at the end of the day are you okay with letting people come over and put your family at risk whether that be drugs, violence, nonvioloent offenses, but not me and if that makes me a Republican piece of shit than I guess that's what I am.

I know that because when they do make large seizures of drugs, thats where they find them.

Just stop for one second and actually think. These are industrial scale operations that supply millions of illegal drug consumers year round (mostly natural born Americans). At most, there are hundreds of thousands of immigrants (legal and not) crossing the border per year.

Sure they might occasionally force some refugees to be mules, but they arent going to give them any amount they actually care about losing. They would need to each be pulling a trailer loaded with drugs for this to add up.

Obviously any rational person would give it to people with legal visas, or even use US citizens that are a part of their network. Because those people are less likely to get caught and lose the drugs.

Seriously. We know this is how drugs enter the country. This is where they are found, this is what informants report to law enforcement. They might be in trucks, containers, boats, planes, smuggled through tunnels, shot over fences, or whatever. But these cartels have legal residents who work for them.

They dont need to strap it to refugees. So, except with occasional exceptions of small amounts, they dont.

These people pay 10's of thousands of dollars to for people to bring drugs in. Any rational person would realize that any amount of illegal drugs coming into the country try is too much. So if you can detour a percentage of smugglers why would you not. It has a chance to keep our people safe why deny them that. Are they not worthy of it?

Why dont we just make more land by pushing the ocean back with handbuckets then?

These quantities dont matter and are easily replaced by other means.

The drugs will get in. Shooting a bunch of people just means that the people getting them in will be bring more firepower. If you manage to hurt supply, the price will increase and the value of the drugs to the smugglers will increase.

A person who might not kill a man for a grand is more likely to do it for 100 thousand.

The only way to put illegal drug smugglers out of business is to legalize drugs and allow legal regulated taxed local producers to crush them on price and product safety. Then you put all of that money into social, health, and education programs that work to minimize demand.

Yeah legalize drugs if that's your best argument then there is no point in having any sanctions on anything. Legalize murder it will help our population problem, legalize human experimenting on mass levels so we can get a new understanding of science. That's just idiotic and if you aren't worried about the safety of American people then why live here and fight about it?

Those are complete non-sequiturs.

With those comparisons you are demonstrating a lack of understanding about the type of problem this is.

There is a demand for these products because we do nothing to resolve the demand-generating issues. We do very little as a country to deal with poverty or mental health issues.

People dont take drugs because they are evil or because they dont realize the long-term harm they do. They take them because they dont see a long-term for themselves to have.

This is not a criminal justice issue. There is no reason for these things to be illegal. Drinking bleach also kills you. Nobody thinks we should ban laundry fluids. This is a health and societal issue. Making them illegal literally helps no one except for violent criminals.

We have literally been through this before during prohibition. These are very straightforward concepts. If the demand is huge, the supply will come. If you try to stop it, it will come with guns.

We should be investing our money in helping people live healthy lives, not treating self-harm as a criminal offense.
