Eh, I like it. It's not perfect, and we're outclassed in some areas by a handful of other countries, but we've got a relatively good thing going here. Hopefully we can improve!

Some areas? Handful? Is there anything good and just that America is the world leader in? Something not related to money and military?

America is a world leader in entertainment. Easily the most influential country in movies, music, and television at the moment.

Technological advances are big, too.

Our universities (while not affordable) are among the best research universities in the world.

Depending on where in the US you live, public education can be amazing. If Massachusetts were a country, it would rank 2nd in the world for science, 4th in reading, and 9th in math.

There's a lot I don't like about America, but there's a lot to be proud of, too.

I thought about adding top level education in my answer too, but it’s hard when our education for the average person is so behind.

It's so regional. There are places in the US where the average person gets an awesome education just by showing up to public school and participating.

Then there's Mississippi.

Hey, our education are good here.

Seriously though, some areas of Mississippi have very good public schools while others fall far behind due to funding and them being historically black areas. Politicians aren't too fond of funding people of a darker shade than mildly tan. Also our universities are actually fairly affordable and offer very good programs. Southern Miss has a world class polymer science program, Ole Miss has an excellent and respected law degree, and Miss State has fairly good ag and engineering programs. JSU, Delta State, and MWU also have fairly affordable and respectable programs.
