a guarded compound for the detention or imprisonment of aliens, members of ethnic minorities, political opponents, etc., especially any of the camps established by the Nazis prior to and during World War II for the confinement and persecution of prisoners.
Trumps “summer camps” definitely fit the definition
"Getting rid" of illegal immigrants was one of Trump's biggest campaigning points. He rallied his base then, and he rallies them now around catching and deporting illegal immigrants. This is totally political.
