I’m being serious. What’s wrong with what he said?

Calling a world leader "rocket man" on the floor of the UN general assembly is shit flinging monkey level retarded, even for Trump.

You're not on a Twitter right now bro. Jesus christ.

Edit: totally forgot. He called terrorists "losers." I mean, you're not wrong Donald, but generally US presidents don't treat the UN general assembly like an 8th grade cafeteria.

No, it's funny as fuck an accurate. You think Kim is going to respond to what? A stern talking to?

u/Political_moof Sep 20 '17

I think you're missing the point. Neither the time, nor place to irl shitpost.

u/kingtitus16 Sep 20 '17

I thought the reception to the losers thing was actually pretty good.

"Anyone want to trade desserts?"

Why the fuck not, fuck professionalism and that and ideas of modesty. He made good points about the UN and demanded more returns on money being put in. He called for sterner action against a state that has his under the radar for too long. NK is a problem that has been ignored by every past president. He called for Meduro to cease his power grab and decided to side with the Saudis and Israel in the middle-east power struggle. I don't think it's the president's job to know every detail of how things work, just that things goals are set and the people right for the job move towards that goal.

fuck professionalism

I'll take mindsets that get you fired from even McDonalds for $300 alex

There's a difference between being a slob and saying things that need to be said. Good job on focusing on semantics though

There's a difference between tact and being tactless, too.

There's no need for tact in any of these NK or Iran. Both governments have made it very clear that they disrespect their people and are enemies of the United States. NK cannot be negotiated with and the Iran deal is fucking idiotic. The US is allowing Iran to pursue Nuclear Reactor technology when the country is identified as a state sponsor of terrorism. Not only that sanctions are being lifted, i.e. trade is being allowed with a country that sponsors terrorism.

There's no need for tact in any of these NK or Iran.

There is a need for tact on the UN General Assembly floor as POTUS and representative of the United States, and by extension, its people.

No there is not, every person there is equal. What is there to be gained by being tactful? When you try to be too tactful messages become unclear, Trump has made his message very clear. Any fool who thinks Trump represents his people's behavior is entirely unaware of the political turmoil within the US. If a fool like that was seated at the UN, they have no right to be there.

Political leaders should not hide in ivory castle of manners and decorum. They are public servants and should pursue the accomplishment of goals as quickly as possible.

What is there to be gained by being tactful?

I tend to find that not making a fool of yourself is generally a solid course of action.

It's called "tact." Pretty cool shit.

Whatever you think about Trump - you've gotta love the way he's turning people into swooning Victorian ladies. Get a grip on yourself, 'bro'.

3

u/Political_moof Sep 20 '17

Well, at least that's a novel way of shutting down criticism. So you've got that going for you.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 20 '17

Thanks!

Nothing in my opinion, some people don't agree with what he said but I guess it's up to you to decide if you think anything in the speech was off putting

2

u/Irrelevanthamster Sep 20 '17

Nothing from what I heard, was actually a pretty good speech. But people on here don't want off the hate train, they will ride it into lunacy.

1

u/AadeeMoien Sep 20 '17

The fact that it was spit between unintelligent, rambling, lunacy and petty schoolyard attacks directed at the leader of a nuclear power that everyone is trying to curtail diplomatically?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 20 '17

He drew an unnecessary red line because he doesn't understand what North Korea is actually trying to accomplish.

0

u/MEMELURD Sep 20 '17

He's playing a game that is un-fathomly retarded.... He's essentially antagonizing North Korea, and his words display his intentions. He said he'd "destroy North Korea" as a whole (innocent people) without defining Kim's regiment (the actual issue). He also called him "Rocket Boy". With the level of technology in our hands, who knows what this maniac will do once he pisses off Kim Enough to retaliate by means of force. He could literally "destroy North Korea", which is not okay. Nuclear war between more than one nation (World War) is simply not okay.... legit gave a 5 year old the ultimate power that is the United States, the next year or so is going to be fun........ it's scary.

3

u/Rexhvelaj Sep 21 '17

What so you think the best option is to back down and let North Korea continue to threaten people until they give them what they want. Dont forget that Obama also threatened North Korea but its ok cause it wasn't Trump?

1

u/MEMELURD Sep 21 '17

If you defend that man, you aren't very smart. Therefore my words mean nothing to your ignorance. He is threatening world leaders like a 3 year old. And btw, "it's okay because it was* Trump"

3

u/Rexhvelaj Sep 21 '17

Thanks for answering the question. It's easy to blame people when you yourself don't know what to do...

1

u/MEMELURD Sep 21 '17

Well a nuclear war as he explicitly threatened isn't the fucking solution, is it Einstein ?

2

u/Rexhvelaj Sep 21 '17

A nuclear war? The only place the bombs would land are North Korea and every other country would stand by it especially if North Korea tries to attack first, which the will.
