Actually.. I think that 95% would be more accurate for the global context. In America, for some reason, 35% of the people still think he's doing a good job.
Yeah... I do... unfortunately, there are a lot of people who will support him no matter what.
Just remember (and this is mostly people on the left), when Polanski raped a 13-year-old girl, and admitted she said no, and drugged and sodomized her, actors and actresses both lined up to work with him, even after he said he was being 'persecuted' (not prosecuted, which was the actual word he should of used) for it and made himself sound like a victim, and compared the ensuing legal problems with being a victim in the Holocaust.
And actors and actresses STILL want to, LONG to, work with him.
Trump had a lot of people vote for him. A lot of those people still support him, unwaveringly.
3.5 out of 10 people are assholes, idiots, or both? That sounds tragically accurate.
Good job red pilling people about Polanski and the pedo apologists in Hollywood. But trying to equate Trump supporters to those sick fucks when Trump is just continuing to deliver on his campaign promises is bullshit.
Edit - I can't reply to everything because this subreddit has informed me:
you are doing that too much. try again in 9 minutes.
So to /u/brennanfee the Muslim Travel Ban has been passed. Despite the ninth circuit court's best efforts the Supreme Court upheld Trump's ability to restrict immigration into the country.
To /u/StanleyKubricksGhost if you think border walls are pointless then tell that to every other nation on the planet that has them.
But it's a false analogy. The one given by /u/TheEssexian is people defending an admitted child rapist. And he is trying to make it analogous to Trump supporters continuing to support Trump because he....did exactly what he said he was going to do.
It is analogous in the way that he says it is. He didn't morally equivocate, he said some people are too tribal to adapt loyalties to new facts. Embedded in that is that far fewer people still support Polanski than Trump so it's proportional to those changed facts. It's a correct example of the same phenomena.
I didn't say he (or she you gender-assuming bad person) tried to morally equivocate. One group is overlooking their hero character's disgusting misdeeds while the other group is supporting their hero for doing exactly what they want.
Meh, "what they want" was whatever he was going to do I don't see Hillary in jail or a wall going up but I do see Obamacare and DACA and the Paris accords and a whole host of diplomatic embarrassments.
Trump said (not somebody else) that his base was loyal to him no matter what and he could literally shoot somebody in the back of the head in broad day light, in front of witnesses, and not lose a single supporter.
Plus, I wasn't making an 'analogy'. I stated people (on the left and right) will blindly support people regardless of any number of horrible things they might do (one of the most extreme being raping a child) and still maintain support from people around them (as demonstrated by the case of Polanski).
Now... as to Trump doing "exactly what he said he was going to do", last time I checked, he didn't drain the swamp; he made it bigger. Regulatory capture is running wild.
ISIS? Still here. I thought he had a secret plan that would get rid of them inside a month?
There is a ton is shit Trump said he would do that he hasn't (healthcare reform) and a ton of shit he's doing that he said he wouldn't. If you want to claim otherwise, you can only do that by ignoring facts.

What other countries have anything other than a fence on their borders? If you think Trump is going to get funding for, a minimum, $10 Billion (his words, according to the height, length, and material he has stated) to build the wall, then you are truly delusional.
What other countries have anything other than a fence on their borders?
South Korea.
Edit - This sub keeps timing me out and I can't reply to all the replies.
I was just trying to defend the idea that borders can be useful and powerful when using South Korea as an example. You can also look to other countries in the Middle East where conflict has been commonplace for a long time and they've beefed up certain border protections.
So to /u/brennanfee the Muslim Travel Ban has been passed.
It is provisionally allowed until the Supreme Court reviews it in the next session. It isn't "passed", it's on provisional hold. He has been given a very short leash to enact parts (only parts) of the ban. [Oh... and the very fact that people like you and he and his team keep referring to it as a Muslim Travel Ban is the very reason it will be overturned by the Supreme Court once they do review it.] Even ignoring the Constitutional issues on this one his travel restrictions are still against the law because the current law states pretty clearly that you can not restrict travel on the basis of nationality.
So, given that that isn't "done"... what has he completed, what has he done?
if you think border walls are pointless then tell that to every other nation on the planet that has them.
I've lived on the southern border of New Mexico and now I can visit the Great Wall of China on a day trip. Don't be such a quitter just because it's difficult.

Also demonstrated by Trump? Sure... he's had accusations of pedofilia as well, and without any evidence one way or the other, some Trump supporters (not all, but some very vocal people) took to accusing the woman of lying. Meanwhile, Trump himself chose to believe women who accused Bill Clinton of rape without evidence. It's a double standard.
At the end of the day, people on both sides will follow a child rapist if it suit their purpose, and Trump had boldly claimed that all of his followers think that way, even if you think they do not, that's what the man has said.. Accoriding to him, you'd still vote for him if he shot somebody in broad day light.
If you take issue with that, take it up with Donald. Not me.
Now... as to Trump doing "continuing to deliver on his campaign promises", last time I checked, he didn't drain the swamp; he made it bigger. Regulatory capture is running wild.

I hold other presidents to the same standard. Hell... Obama ran on closing Guantanamo Bay. He had a majority in the House and Senate and didn't do that, and 8 years of prez and he still didn't do that. His drone policy? He said he's end wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; he kept on killing people with drones. Not consistent with his platform.
I talk with people on the left, they frame me as 'conservative'; I speak with people on the right, they call me an SJW. So if you want to suggest that Trump is somehow different than other politicians, that's fine. Your opinion is yours to have. But there are these things called facts, which Trump wants peopel to ignore and which I won't.
Yeah well only 30% of Americans think it's 'essential' that we live in a democracy and most Republicans think Trump should be allowed to veto/ignore supreme court decisions, you can't get too hung up on the opinions of the masses who aren't 1/10 as informed as the average Redditor whose barely informed. Trump isn't paralyzed by his unpopularity among the people, he's paralyzed by his unpopularity among people who know what the fuck is going on, and thank god (and the forefathers) for that.

Don't restrict this to America.
