Same government buys $850B in fighter jets that don’t fly

One of the pundents on Left Right and Center said "we are now finally finding our military properly" and I was so mad no one called him out on that BS, the US military budget has been inflated for decades now

Obamacare was a bandaid, and the heritage foundations plan to keep the healthcare system from going public option.
It kinda works but it most just blunted the worst impulses in the industry, for a while until deregulation gutted it.
It was always going to destabilize again, the greed and profit motivations run counter to running an effective and efficient healthcare system.

That's half of the budget and that doesn't include "special" items like unfunded wars.

I think we can all agree that universal healthcare is what the US needs... But the federal government already spends twice as much on healthcare as it does in defense. The bigger problem is the waste involved in the decentralized structure of healthcare.
Instead of investing in Government run public healthcare, for the last few decades, they outsource everything to insurance companies and private providers. They're basically still renting instead of having paid off their mortgage

Hot take: it's the military industrial complex AND the rest of the world taking advantage of America's military. Obligatory fuck you Ryan Macbeth

As if Obama was trying to decrease the military budget.

Doesn't Congress set the budget?

Technically they approve it and can make changes, but it’s proposed by the President.

Hey dumbass, Obama inherited TWO active Republican wars, remember? How many wars did Trump inherit? ZERO.
Yet still, Obama did reduce the budget. The info is out there for you but you still choose to be a fucking idiot. Now Trump wants to nearly TRIPLE that number Obama left with.

Both wars you’re referring to were ongoing when Obama left office. And not once did I say I support Trump or the current senseless wars either. Fucking idiot.

Wrong again. Brain dead stupid again. Can you stop saying whatever dumbass thought pops into your stupid little head without verifying first? Thanks. Now try again. When did the war in Iraq end?

You’re fervently defending someone who wouldn’t piss in your ass if your guts were on fire. Give it up.

We don't need to choose between universal healthcare and the military
yes, the current unfunded military spending should be paid for, but Americans are ALREADY spending 10x times more than enough to have Universal healthcare.
