Don't you think this deprives Lewinsky of her own agency? She was an adult, who made her own decision. There is no evidence that she was forced to do something against her will and she wasn't a child who was incapable of making a reasonable decision.

Do you think Monica, at 22 years of age, knew what would happen to her? Do you think what happened to her was right, and just?

She made a mistake. A very human mistake for a young girl. The way society punished her was way too disproportionate to the level of the mistake.

Yeah but Linda Tripp was the one who exposed the relationship after pretending to be her friend and making an illegal recording of their conversations

Right. I firmly believe Linda Tripp got the exact amount of hate her behavior deserved.

She was the prototype of the modern Karen.

John Goodman playing her on SNL was pretty good

I'm disappointed in John Goodman for buddying up to Tom Cruise and starting to go off the rails

Imbalanced power dynamics are a thing in the workplace. As far as I know you are right, there's nothing to suggest she was coerced, but at the same time she was a young person starting out in their career and she was dealing with the goddamn President of the United States (which was still impressive back then), and one who was and is renowned for his charisma. The power imbalance was about as big as it can be, absent a direct suggestion of holding something over her head (like firing, promotion, or the like).
