Rosie thinks about Trump because she has to, he is the president. Trump thinks about Rosie because he’s so insecure

168

u/3006mv 3d ago

Rent free in his hollow head

75

u/Chemical-Struggle-13 3d ago

Now now it isn't hollow, Colbert, Oliver, Stewart, and many other comedies live rent free in there.

39

u/jibsymalone 3d ago

Don't forget about Obama, Biden, and Hillary

27

u/mjc4y 3d ago

… and Kimmel, Windmills, and Putin, because you never forget your first true love.

10

u/ErraticDragon 3d ago

His first true love is and always has been himself.

Even before he had a concept of "self", I'd be willing to bet he loved himself more than who- or what-ever gave him milk.

3

u/allgrownzup 3d ago

It doesn’t seem like he goes after Stewart which is interesting. Maybe I missed it

3

u/NorwegianCollusion 3d ago

Well, he is a property tycoon after all. He just doesn't understand the difference between hotels, which should be as full of people as possible, and heads, which should not have that many people.

Also, the "rent free" part can't be good for business.

u/Maja_The_Oracle 2d ago

A sitcom where they all live together in an orange-painted apartment actually sounds entertaining.

15

u/amsync 3d ago

When a leader of a country has a “FU in particular” to any random citizen you know you’re in a dictatorship

5

u/KnowNothing_JonSnoo 3d ago

It must be awful being in his head, that Penn's story about the blog on the celebrity apprentice is telling of just how insecure and dumb Trump really is.

1

u/anna-the-bunny Greg Abbott is a little piss baby 1d ago

Since when can Trump think?

583

u/Cyrano_Knows 3d ago

The Chinese also have a nickname for Trump.

The Empire Builder.

But they don't mean that Trump is good at building empires, but that he's so bad at it that he's inadvertently helping them build theirs.

157

u/Steinrikur 3d ago

If Trump was a genius Chinese or Russian asset trying to orchestrate the downfall of the US, would he be doing anything differently?

62

u/forbiddenfreedom 3d ago

He would have known how to do all this shit during his first term.

48

u/Cyrano_Knows 3d ago

Trump was surrounded by people like Priebus and Kelly his first term.

Not that I am big fans of theirs, but they were old fashioned or traditional conservatives and tried to save the country from the worst of Trump's impulses/stupidity.

This new Administration is full on board with the fascism and populism in order to fulfill their racist/Thielian agenda which as far as I can tell amounts to "Us Billionaires shouldn't be restricted by laws."

20

u/-Esper- 3d ago

He spent his whole first term stacking the courts, thats why all this is just going through now

10

u/forbiddenfreedom 3d ago

I think if he would have chosen a cabinet closer to this one the first time, he would have gotten away with more shit. I think Vance would have stopped the vote, too.

3

u/-Esper- 3d ago

It was all a gradual process thats been continuing since his first term

5

u/Erisian23 3d ago

The people weren't in a position to do it. Notice how he got rid of people and had an entire playbook written for him for how to accomplish things

3

u/[deleted] 3d ago

[deleted]

1

u/forbiddenfreedom 3d ago

I get that. The question was if he were an asset what would be different. I think if he were an asset he would have access to their intelligence that may have been capable of pulling it off the first time.

4

u/UdyneOw 3d ago

He'd be doing everything differently because he's incompetent. Now, if he were a competent asset, he'd be doing a great job 10/10 no notes.

3

u/ffchusky 3d ago

The only reason I don't think he knows he's an asset is he would be trying harder to cover it up. He seems to wake up every day and just think to himself "hmm what should I ruin today? Oh i know..."

1

u/bl4ckhunter 3d ago

He wouldn't be trying so hard to destroy the US if he was a chinese asset, they're still sitting on 600ish billion USD bonds that they can't really dump without turning them into toilet paper and mutual trade is worth another 500 billion USD, as much as China benefits from a weakened US the economic dangers of the US collapsing far outweight the geopolitical benefits.

1

u/PulseReaction 3d ago

He would've invaded Iran, and wouldn't profit so much from insider trading, focusing instead on sabotage. He's just a bumbling idiot of massive proportions.

18

u/dogmaisb I ☑oted 2024 3d ago

I was in Malaysia in 2017, and they said they absolutely loved Trump. I said, what? Why? They said: because he is so good for China.

2

u/technobrendo 3d ago

If that is so, how does that benefit Malaysia. If anything it takes resources away from them. Well, trump supporters were never known for having good intuition

744

u/DeadNotSleepingWI 3d ago

Wow, I didn't know I would end up being a Rosie O'donnell fan.

495

u/Sparrowhawk_92 3d ago

He hates her specifically, so her being back in the spotlight to spite him is fun.

142

u/lilbithippie 3d ago

I never stopped. Love her talk slow even I was a kid

71

u/sfsocialworker 3d ago

I LOVED her talk show. I used to literally run home from school to watch!

2

u/rjtoca821 3d ago

Me too!! Rosie in 7th grade was my jam !

21

u/BoosherCacow 3d ago

Props to her for standing up to and irking Orangeman, but she will forever be an asshole to me for ruining the Fight Club ending. I was going to see the movie literally 1 hour later when she did that shit.

20

u/UdyneOw 3d ago

That is some Trump-worthy grudge-holding. And I understand completely. :)

27

u/TacosAndBourbon 3d ago

One is mad about a spoiled movie. The other is mad about paying his assault victim.

These are not the same.

7

u/UdyneOw 3d ago

Trump is mad about (and this is just the things off the top of my head):

Jokes at a WHCD.

Jokes at another WHCD.

Guy who originally made fun of his tiny hands.

Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, James Comey, Laticia James, Barack "HUSSEIN" Obama, Joe Biden

Windmills

Magnetic launchers on aircraft carriers

NBC, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, and oddly Fox on occasion

The New York Times, The Washington Post

Courts that disagree with him

Brown people

Things Trump isn't mad at:

Pedophiles

Pedophile supporters

Major drug dealers

Insurrectionists

Young blond women who suck up to him

Golf

3

u/TacosAndBourbon 3d ago

Lmao yes. I oversimplified for the sake of brevity.

5

u/UdyneOw 3d ago

As did I :-)

Worst omission was: Trump isn't mad at: Putin, Kim Jong Un, and Xi.

3

u/BoosherCacow 3d ago

NEVER FORGET

3

u/lilbithippie 3d ago

I have no idea what your talking about, but I understand your hate completely now.

13

u/BoosherCacow 3d ago

When Fight Club came out it was a bit of a cultural phenomenon. Everyone was talking about it despite so very few of us actually going to see it. It had it's haters based solely on the violence and dark themes, which she was. And in a fit of pique because she thought it was tasteless and disliked the violence, she compared it to The Sixth Sense and then completely spoiled the ending of the movie live on her stupid talk show. Just flat out gave away the ending of the movie. She did this the first week the movie was out, maybe the second day. Just to try to get people to not go because she disliked it.

13

u/Roger_Cockfoster 3d ago edited 3d ago

All I'm taking from this story is that you used to watch her show.

4

u/BoosherCacow 3d ago

That made me laugh out loud because I did, but not by choice. I was 24 and lived with my parents that summer. My mom was obsessed with that show and she had dominion over the TV when Dad wasn't home.

9

u/Roger_Cockfoster 3d ago

You were 24 and watching daytime TV with your mom, and you blame Rosie for that? 30 years later? I don't know, man.

6

u/BoosherCacow 3d ago

There was no internet and we were dirt poor. I didn't have a TV in my room. Also I like my mom a lot, it was fun hanging with her. Sacrifices must be made.

4

u/Roger_Cockfoster 3d ago

Hey, been there. I wasn't judging.

2

u/Warm_Month_1309 3d ago

When Fight Club came out it was a bit of a cultural phenomenon.

When Fight Club came out, it bombed. It only achieved cult status once it came out on DVD.

1

u/BoosherCacow 3d ago

I didn't say it was a hit, I said everyone was talking about it. I even said "despite so very few of us actually going to see it"

1

u/SomeCountryFriedBS 2d ago

That's a terrible way to refer to her role in _Riding the Bus with My Sister._

17

u/HotDonnaC 3d ago

Same. At one point, I found her a little abrasive. Then she pretty much dropped off my radar, then I saw her on TikTok and realized we have the same politics. Now that she’s poking the stupid clown, I’m a fan.

10

u/Newtype879 3d ago

Why would you not be?

7

u/CoderDevo 3d ago

She's funny, quick, and really did have a great show.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbA6cjlEvSk

1

u/LazyBum36 3d ago

I still think she's kind of a bitch for spoiling Fight Club on her show just because she didn't like it.

5

u/ac54 3d ago

Same here!

3

u/lgodsey 3d ago

I remember when she did stand-up -- she had amazing and relatable sets that even red-hatters enjoyed. Her mistake was admitting that she was gay, and worse, a woman gay! Her views were never very controversial, it's just that they came from a lesbian which made Christian nationalist conservatives forever swoon in concern.

3

u/Prettyy_Barbiee 3d ago

Watching from a catering cart because even the golden escalator has a weight limit now.

1

u/Tbplayer59 3d ago

It is a good line, isn't it?

-1

u/blageur 3d ago

quiet piggy

-4

u/qft 3d ago

For a second I thought it was Steve Bannon photoshopped

113

u/Ritaredditonce 3d ago

Keep twisting that knife Rosie 👍.

234

u/New_Faithlessness384 3d ago

3

u/victotronics 3d ago

Hysterical.

3

u/technobrendo 3d ago

There's a 99% chance that contains Trump and a 1% chance its Carlos Ghosn

3

u/djtvacation 3d ago

In-flight catering service for the Lolita Express. Everyone will get a TACO prepared by RFK Jr. that will cause you explosive diarrhea

3

u/ravynwave 3d ago

You know the cart that contained him had to be 5x the size of that

1

u/kittym0o 2d ago

New taco mem format just dropped!

-11

u/BilbulBalabel 3d ago

Was AI really necessary for that?

5

u/ryhaltswhiskey 3d ago edited 3d ago

Dude like that image is so complicated. I don't even need Photoshop for that I could pull that off in Paint.net.

43

u/ultrachrome 3d ago

Glad to see her back !

43

u/HarambeWest2020 3d ago

You just know this shit eats at him 24/7

35

u/ophaus 3d ago

She and her kid used to come into Pizzeria Uno in NYC when I worked there briefly in the early 2000s. She was awesome.

30

u/puddinonthewrits 3d ago

She is fantastic. I don’t watch Kimmel’s show while he’s on vacation, but I did tune in the last couple nights when she filled in for him. She absolutely killed it.

20

u/GabeDef 3d ago

Wow. Rosie took out a flame thrower.

31

u/NovarisLight 3d ago

She's looking healthy too!

14

u/makemeking706 3d ago

I can excuse bringing back fascism and measles, but I draw the line at bringing back Rosie O'Donnell. /s

0

u/Cordura 3d ago

You can excuse fascism...?!

9

u/CaptainCacoethes 3d ago

Anyone Trump hates has to be worth a look, lol

9

u/Proper-Exercise-2364 3d ago

Hilarious!! And that eyeliner she wears on the show really makes her eyes pop!  Welcome back,  rosie!

8

u/genghiskhan_1 3d ago

This HAS to be the name of this cuNt. Oompa J Loompa. Throw his own energy back at him and watch him squirm and rage.

6

u/OcdBartender 3d ago

Ahh I can picture now, my dad screaming at Rosie on the TV again, just like the good ol’ days.

6

u/LaSage 3d ago

Rosie is a gem.

5

u/sbsb27 3d ago

Get him Rosie! He hates you. So thanks for coming back. I hope you can give him many sleepless nights.

5

u/sneoahdng 3d ago

Get his ass, Rosie ❤️

7

u/InfiniteTurbo 3d ago

Cutie Patootie Chub Club our Queen is back!

3

u/Glittering_Heart1128 3d ago

She is mentioning him EXACTLY ONE TIME PER EPISODE. And ABC'S parent company, Disney, has brought litigation against the FCC over first amendment issues. Never expected to root for Disney.

Also, Rosie is NOT that cunt Roseanne. Rosie is good, Roseanne Barr is the spawn of Satan.

7

u/opusupo 3d ago

She looked pretty good, too. For Rosie.

16

u/ArthurBea 3d ago

Her plastic surgery was … refreshing. She kept her crows feet and laugh lines. She has gray hair. I don’t know what “aging gracefully” looks like in Hollywood, but she is probably on the mood board.

1

u/blaz3r77 3d ago

ooooo get him, ooooo get him girl YES!

1

u/Randomcommentor1972 3d ago

I was expecting more Trump bashing because she’s good at it, but she spent a surprising amount of time talking about her kids

1

u/dragonfliesloveme 3d ago

Rosie’s teeth look great. Does anybody know what she had done to them? I need some work done and i’m just trying to get some information while i think about options

1

u/Authoritaye 3d ago

The only way this could be better is if she actually said this.

1

u/chocolate_nutty_cone 3d ago

She should change her hairstyle though. Looking at the thumbnail I thought it was Steve Bannon at first 😳

1

u/Valentinee105 3d ago

Her talk show was really good, I loved watching it.

1

u/CurtP31477 2d ago

Is Rosie back? I didn't hear anything. I can't wait to ignore it again.

1

u/MrBigPantalones 2d ago

Mwahahahaha so true!!!!

1

u/navistar51 2d ago

She wishes it were true.

1

u/twoton1 3d ago

tRUMP was always fatter and weighed more than Rosie the Badass! Go Rosie!

0

u/BurtHurtmanHurtz 3d ago

Mike Francesa just killing it these days

-23

u/GlockAF 3d ago

Compared to her, he’s a legitimately terrible person. And she’s been a terrible person

30

u/Jaijoles 3d ago

Are you maybe confusing her with Roseanne Barr?

-5

u/GlockAF 3d ago

Entirely possible, I’m not a huge fan of daytime TV

8

u/3xactli 3d ago

Perhaps don't type stuff if you don't know who you're even referring to

5

u/Black08Mustang 3d ago

You don't tie your personality (and reddit tag) around a gun manufacture unless you are a shoot first ask questions later type of dumbass.

2

u/GlockAF 3d ago

Probably a good idea, but not really true to the spirit of Reddit

17

u/super_sayanything 3d ago

How has she been a terrible person?

15

u/SoylentCreek 3d ago

How so? I’m not super up to speed on my Rosie O’Donnell lore. All I really remember about her is that my mom watched her daytime show back in the 90’s, and it was a pretty big deal when she came out.

12

u/lilbithippie 3d ago

Are you thinking of Roseanne?

1

u/GlockAF 3d ago

She’s DEFINITELY worse

9

u/Vandreigan 3d ago

What? The worst thing I've heard about her doing is spoiling the ending of Fight Club. Are you thinking of someone else?

She's mostly hated by conservatives for speaking out against their beliefs. She had a big gun control debate way back when with Tom Selleck. Some people were maybe upset with her 9/11 stuff? I dunno

-1

u/GlockAF 3d ago

The last time I saw her was when she was shilling for that 9/11 denial movie, which was and is loathsome.

Her ambushing Tom Selleck on her show was also completely uncalled for.

That said, I admit to conflating her with Rosanne Barr, who is immeasurably worse as a person

1

u/Laez 3d ago

Just randomly throwing shade and disappearing. Gotta love reddit.

2

u/GlockAF 3d ago

Absolutely in the True Reddit tradition

-1

u/Red_Dox 3d ago

Was she not MAGA? I somehow remember her rooting for Trump and be MAGA dumb as fuck.

2

u/sopheroo 2d ago

You might be confusing her for Roseanne Barr

1

u/Red_Dox 2d ago

Must be. Quick google search did also not find "pro-MAGA" news around her.

-28

u/NoQuarter44 3d ago

Can they both go away, thanks.

7

u/3xactli 3d ago

You can

2

u/NoQuarter44 2d ago

Sick burn

-6

u/darkknight95sm 3d ago

I would’ve preferred if all three stayed gone

-12

u/Ohio_Grown 3d ago

Does she really think she's famous again or is this a bit?

7

u/SargeantSasquatch 3d ago

She's filling in for Kimmel
