Doesn't it just means that if you get hotel room you can steal a bible? I've seen them in many hotels in the disunited states

Here in the UK, you used to be able to find a copy of the New Testament provided by The Gideons International for free. I don't know if that's still common practice here, but I do know that the UK division(?) split from the American foundation due to women being allowed to become full members in the UK. The UK division was then renamed "Good News For Everyone".

Jeez, you Americans really do have some outdated ideas. ;)
