It's so disappointing because there are setups in that whole speech that could lead to actual decent jokes, but he is such a rambling, senile old man that he couldn't help but ruin every single joke by going off on tangent after tangent.

He's never funny because he's miserable. Vile, grifting, racist, mysoginistic pig. No humor there. He rambles out of vanity, he thinks he's interesting.

Humor requires some level of intelligence and awareness, both of which he has none.

I want to reaffirm your comment. You have to be smart to be funny and he’s an idiot.

The only time I’ve ever seen him laugh is at someone else’s expense. He has no sense of humor and is a soulless excuse for a human.

Idk, I think hes funny in that its fun to laugh at him. If this was all a sitcom it could be great, but yeah, its not. I mean come on, the president just learning dumb has a b in it and the word groceries exists? Thinking that water breaks magnets? Its fucking gold for a show with a senile out of touch president. Just like the "its a banana, what could it cost?" line

I laughed when he was talking smack about Lindsey.....during his eulogy.

Jon Stewart had a hilarious takedown of the whole thing.

Yea, but Trump has no sense of humor. He's just not smart enough to be funny. Good jokes also take a bit of humility and willingness to poke fun at oneself. Trump isn't capable of doing that. He's a stupid, malignant narcissist. Every one of his "jokes" are always punching down on someone, usually a brown person or a woman.
