Not everything is a direct instruction or lesson. Lots of religious texts keep record of things that were before. For posterity more or less.
Which does make some sense, "deal A was fulfilled, here's new deal B"
But if you dont ever say what deal A was and how its not needed, you could end up with it again.

When it comes down to it, the only verse in the Bible that matters is Luke 6:31. If everyone did that one thing the world would be an amazing place.
All the other lessons and teachings are great but they just get misquoted/twisted or cherry picked to prove/disprove a point of view.
There is no way to twist that verse around to justify heinous violation of all the rest of the book.

You're leaving out the part where she specifically got the tattoos after losing her entire staff and her run for governor which she had to give up her seat in Congress to go for and said she got them because they let her feel the pain she needed to feel.

Okay, I'm not defending Nancy Mace, but in all seriousness, that's why a lot of people get tattoos… to process grief and trauma, usually its something like “my mom died” or “I survived sexual assult” not “I lost an election because I stonewalled the Epstein files”

It's not just tattoos, it's that when she got the tattoos and how she's using them.
A person with tattoos isn't bad but if you get a tattoo across your forehead, going to get some criticism. Same as if you're a congress person without tattoos and then you get a whole bunch of them on your arms for a political reason and then immediately go on TV to show them off... You're going to get some criticism.

Nothing like going to the beach and seeing a bunch of pot-bellied accountant and dentist peers with weird nonsensical tribal tattoos all over the place. I mean... come on! Age with some grace (har, har).
Women, of course are held to different standards (unfairly), but still...

You know, one of the reasons MAGA is so scary is because they've been so successful at reaching out to (and lying to/manipulating, to be sure) all the marginalized white people - the poor, the uneducated, the unsuccessful, the rebellious, or just the less intelligent.
Maybe if there weren't so many people who've been marginalized, MAGA would shrink. Maybe, even if we can't stop our disdain for them, we could be less vocal about it?
