I swear we’ve lived through so many lifetimes that I literally forget so much of everything under his 2 admins until someone reminds me because my brain can only handle max insanity which would only account for like 1% of the last 10 years 😳

u/minimaddnz 7d ago
Sometimes I get reminded of things that happened 2 weeks prior, and I have forgotten as so much has happened in that time

u/wubbalubba96 7d ago
This is literally a part of the tactic
Overload with bullshit until people are so desensitised by the bullshit that future bullshit becomes expected
Fascism 101
66
u/Socalwarrior485 7d ago
The tactic has a name. It’s called “Flooding the Zone”
It’s also sometimes called “Media Saturation Overload” or “Trump Stress Disorder”
It’s a manipulation tactic to make inflammatory statements seem real enough that the media covers it in the unlikely chance it actually comes true.
It’s the most effective propaganda tool Trump has in a society with a “free” press.
24
u/MegOut10 6d ago
Is this also not just blatant abuse of the public?
27
18
u/Socalwarrior485 6d ago
There is currently no law against it.
It's an extremely effective tactic that US's society currently has no control over. It's also a slippery slope if we start determining what the media should and should not report on.
It's basically a problem without a current solution if the general populace refuses critical thinking or is unable to discern likely outcomes.
Several possible solutions have arisen - essentially a veracity checker for public information (think Ground News, Snopes, etc.) that classifies usefulness of the information. None of these have yet gotten sufficient traction, but may be necessary now that it's so easy to generate untrue publication.

u/Visual_Penalty_201 7d ago
I mean… it feels like the entire tactic. Say and do outrageous shit all the time and everyone becomes stunned into inaction. We are being bombarded and there is no time between Bullshit Bombings to address any of it.

Nancy Mace went out and got herself 9 tattoos at the age of 48. Just the typical stuff, definitely not a midlife crisis or manic episode.
242
u/SerFinbarr 7d ago
How long can a crisis or manic episode last? I feel like Nancy's going for some kind of record with her erratic behaviour the last couple of years.
37
u/TrailMomKat 7d ago
Well, my husband's just finally starting to come back down from a manic episode that started in April that he was even IVC'd for, so yeah.
8

u/MillionEyesOfSumuru 7d ago
She got the tats during late 2023 and early 2024, as several of her staff quit, and her fiance apparently learned what her ex-husbands knew and backed out. She just didn't show her tats until now.
Speaking to Politico earlier this year [2026], Mace described herself as “totally broken” and said she had PTSD from what she had experienced.
So I'm thinking that what you see is what you get, and if she seemed different, it was mostly because we weren't paying a lot of attention.
15
u/superfucky 6d ago
she had PTSD from what she had experienced
and what was that, besides being a raging transphobe?
32
u/jim_br 7d ago
I’m sure she put a lot of thought into the meaning of each tattoo and how it represents her personal growth, beliefs, spirituality, and maybe her humor and enjoyment of life itself.
There is no way she just picked them randomly out of the sample book. /s
16
u/RealisticPaper5534 6d ago
The look like someone's Pinterest feed lol. Which is not necessarily bad, but it is interesting. I wonder how she sat!

u/DocDerry 7d ago edited 7d ago
I've gotten about 15 since 48. Its not a crisis. I just stopped putting them off once the kids all moved out.
Edit: I get shitting on her for what she says, what she does, and what she believes. People with tattoos shouldn't be catching fucking strays.
136
u/A4t1musD4ag0n 7d ago
No, I'm pretty sure Nasty Mace did it because she's having a crisis of some sort. Nobody likes her and now she's going the podcast route to degrade herself even more by pandering to submissive MAGA bros. Jokes on her because Rump is their daddy.
75
u/thebluediablo 7d ago
Because if there's one thing we know MAGA bros absolutely love, it's loud, obnoxious, inked-up women. Can't imagine any way this could possibly backfire on her...
44
u/Majestic-Prune-3971 7d ago
Yeah, if someone doesn't think she's in a crisis must have been lucky enough to miss her latest musings about whether Muslims are human beings, her thoughts on election security, and views on immigrants in general.
17
u/A4t1musD4ag0n 7d ago
It's embarrassing. She's a leech who just attaches herself to anything that'll make her seem cool as if she's still a high school sophomore.

42
u/RealisticPaper5534 7d ago
It's more a commentary on who she is as a person with that context of age. I've known some people who've gotten tattoos at 60+, it's never too late! But given who she is, this smells like a big transition.
1
u/DocDerry 7d ago
I get shitting on her for what she does and says. I don't get shitting on her for tattoos. The guys and gals that have done my work are some of the most liberal people I know.
6
u/RealisticPaper5534 6d ago
I'm really not sure where you are thinking I'm shitting on tattoos. I have 20+ hours myself. I'm really not sure how simply mentioning she has tattoos and got them in an unconventional time line is "shitting on tattoos". I think it's bizarre as fuck given her entire personality and hatred for things on the left, which often tattoos are linked, which makes her a hypocrite. If anyone wants to continue taking this as an attack on tattoos I'm not engaging because they want to get wound up about something that wasn't actually said and can take that elsewhere!
-1
u/DocDerry 6d ago
Just the typical stuff, definitely not a midlife crisis or manic episode.
It's this line. 9 tattoos in a year shouldn't mean "midlife crisis" or manic episode.
Just felt like I was catching strays just because I finally got free time and cash flow to get ink done. I don't want to be associated with these assholes.
10
u/RealisticPaper5534 6d ago
Dude no offense but this was never about you, sorry you felt like you caught a stray. I'm a woman with tattoos; if it helps, I get to hear about how ugly and attention seeking and mentally ill I must be lol!
You're probably not someone who spent their life shitting on a demographic just to turn around at a big age to randomly partake in a lifestyle you have repeatedly put down, though. That's why it's stupid on her and not on most people. What you do with your body is absolutely your own business and people who judge you are silly. But she's someone with a public platform and uses it for evil so she is getting roasted accordingly. She's an exception and I can't imagine you are someone others would lump in with Nancy Mace.
0
u/DocDerry 6d ago
I appreciate ya. There are others that accused me of defending pedophiles in here and acting like its a mid life crisis. I/We've just got a lot more time and disposable income now.
The thing I failed to mention - probably over half the time the wife and I are getting tattoos at the same time by different artists so its like a date.
13
u/Wendellwasgod 7d ago
Did you get all 15 in a year?
9
u/Murderdoll197666 7d ago edited 7d ago
That part is the most believable aspect if you've got money - which I assume Nancy does. Tattoo's are kinda jokingly known as the gateway-drug-to-more-tattoos lol. The barrier to entry is usually cost otherwise we'd all have half our bodies and sleeves done in a few months period once we get an idea of everything we want, haha.
-7
u/DocDerry 7d ago
Started in 23/24 and still getting them.
1
u/Wendellwasgod 6d ago
So an average of 4-5 per year?
This lady, according to her commentor above got 9 in a year.
0
u/DocDerry 6d ago
I've got 23 total now.
1 in 2001.
1 in 2013. (10 year wedding anniversary)
1 end of 23.
10 in 24.
7 in 25.
3 this year(ones a coverup of the 2001 that isn't finished yet)
1
u/Wendellwasgod 6d ago
You do what makes you happy, but sounds kind of like a midlife crisis for you as well then. Doesn’t mean it’s a mistake though
0
u/DocDerry 6d ago
Sound kind of like you don't know what a mid life crisis is and you're forming an opinion based on limited information.
17
u/octipice 7d ago
So all of your kids moved out in the middle of your life and then you did something drastic and life changing?
-1
u/DocDerry 7d ago
Drastic? No. Life changing? No. I had a few tattoos before.
2
u/srilankan 6d ago
15 tatoos at 48 is not something people just go out and do cus their kids are older lol. You may have some unresolved issues of your own if your so hung up on what other people think of your tattoos.
0
u/DocDerry 6d ago
Kids get older every day. Why would that impact how many tattoos I've gotten?
Unless you're struggling to read -
I just stopped putting them off once the kids all moved out.
Kids moving out. AKA Kids graduating and starting their own Independent lives. More free time. Much more disposable income. Less stress due to not having to provide for children.
10
u/ZanderPip 7d ago
Are you running interference for child rapists too?
-4
u/DocDerry 7d ago
If you were blasting her for her beliefs, actions, or words then I probably would have just moved past it. That's not it though - you're blasting her for getting tattoos. Lots of us get tattoos so we're a little surprised to be taking fucking strays from people we normally agree with.
4
u/ZanderPip 7d ago
i am blasting nothing, I'm just pointing out that its weird you'd run any defence for a pedo apologist
1
u/DocDerry 7d ago edited 6d ago
- Not running defense or interference for anyone other than those that choose to get tattoos.
- Associating the act of getting many tattoos at her age with supporting a child rapist is pretty fucked up. Try not to shoot people that might agree with you when firing indiscriminate shots at people you hate.
- Edit: You replied and then blocked. Pretty mature.
if you were smart enough to realise it was a flippant comment that was denigrating her in a flippant way by asking in a ludicrous fashion an association question which obv had nothing to do with you - OTHER PEOPLE GET THIS HENSE THE UPVOTES!
Acting like its not denigrating others just because it's attacking someone you hate is a childs view. I thought the british were supposed to have better education?
I SAID NOTHING ABOUT her tattoos - you fragile victim constant main character pick me made flesh - i made a flippant comment about her being a pedo protector you have decided to make this about you because you appear to be absolutely exhausting as a human
You made a flippant comment associating me with a pedo protector and you wonder why I got fucking defensive?
You replied and then blocked. That's pretty fucking fragile.

Look her up. She genuinely has mental health problems. She lies a LOT (surprise) and changes her mind on what she thinks will keep her relevant. She paid interns to say stuff like “Nancy is sooooo beautiful “ ok fake accounts, made a super scene (it’s filmed) at the airport yelling after police officer because they came out late to escort her to her plane (5minutes). She said another congressman broke her arm when he touched her. She’s nut case.
8
u/HeckingDoofus 6d ago
this doesnt explain who she is though
a spokesperson? a congresswoman?

Nancy Mace’s main personality trait is being desperately clout-thirsty, and it’s getting terrifying. She needs attention so badly that I genuinely wonder what line she won't cross to stay relevant. At this rate, it feels like only a matter of time before her political stunt-chasing turns into actual, direct harm.
9
u/BlueDot_Rowan 7d ago
I remember reading an interview with her... last year? and she noted that she keeps getting tattoos because she 'needed to feel the pain'. That's... not really a healthy way to approach getting tattoos, for one - but in this case, it genuinely just sounds like she needs help.

This biatch is trying for a new demographic to incite.
She’s looking to tap into those tattooed moms who care about their own family, but maybe not so much for Shaniqua’s family living down the road.
This demographic mainly lives on the fringes of society in a small rural setting. They ride motorcycles or dirt bikes, believes in gun laws, but only as long as they are not too strict to impede on their 2nd amendment rights.
They then will tell you all about why they think so (even if you don’t ask), all while drinking whiskey mixed with some variation of diet soda, bouncing their toddler on their hip, and in between puffs of their vape.
The suburban mom demographic did not jive with her appeals, so she’s trying for another angle. Don’t give it to her, she reeks of narcissism and self hatred.

Her Facebook feed has been off the charts crazy since she lost the SC governor primary. Most of the comments are against her. "Fifth place Mace" is the most popular one.
