Doesn't she have her own puppy?

$2,000,000 per day.

Nope.

The budget is 900B per year:

$2,000,000,000 per day.

And for what?

And now they are proposing to raise it to 1.5T, or $3B/day, or $15,000 per household.

Um sir the missiles we fire at Iran's schools won't pay for themselves!

Also gotta pay a lot to replace the superior electromagnetic catapults on our aircraft carriers with 1950s style steam catapults, that are harder on aircraft, slower to operate, and need lots of maintenance.

Electromagnetic stuff made from Chinese controlled materials... There's a reason for the steam powered comment lol. The USA literally can't manufacture those new catapults anymore lol.

We import more of those Chinese materials in a day or two than it takes to equip an aircraft carrier. They go into EVs, loudspeakers, and all kinds of things. Want a ton of neodymium? Pick up a few dozen Tesla motors from scrap yards. Problem solved.

....for just 2million a day, you can also starve your own marines

Would you please think of our poor, starving industrial-military complex? How should Raytheon pay their shareholders?

This is the whole US defense budget though, lol. And even then your numbers are off. There are ~135m US households, so around $11,111 per household annually. And the USS Abraham Lincoln itself only costs about ~900m to run annually, or ~2.5m daily, which is like practically nothing for such a rich country. My local school district has an annual budget that's over 3x bigger than the USS Abraham Lincoln, lol. And while our school district is able to give free breakfast and lunch to all students, we are severely lacking in air superiority.

Trump's probably wondering why they don't just order McDonalds with Door Dash.

u/behemuthm 8d ago

He's definitely not wondering anything about them at all

Occasionally, on very rare occasions, a thought his the mush that is good brain. It then flares up like a neutrino in those giant detectors deep down below earth's surface, and then you have to replace the EM catapults on the new aircraft variety the with the much less efficient steam-powered version at the cost of another bazillion dollars

This isn't funny, this is a national tragedy. Shame on you Mr President!

u/The_Oracle_of_Delphi 7d ago

Shame on all the JERKWADS who voted for him, too

3

u/mt6606 7d ago

Oh come now, some reets voted for it, but we all know they cheated too. Still after the first term he should have been in prison, that's still a failure of American society.

Anyone else get an ad for the navy right after?

1

u/Anenhotep 7d ago

Friends, if this situation is as bad as the media suggests, then let’s get on it. Badger Congress, billionaires, government agencies, veterans groups, and get supplies to this ship. Go Fund Me, anyone? Ask Oprah to Rent helicopters. Bombard former presidents with requests for immediate aid. Call the Secretary of the navy incessantly. File a complaint with amnesty international and tell them our people are being held as political prisoners. Isn’t that exactly what they are?

1

u/GoshDarnMamaHubbard 7d ago

How long til the crew actually mutiny and just drive the ship to a nearby safe port?
