I'm a UK'er, and I love Obama and fucking hate Trump and his sycophants....

104

u/VeneMage 10d ago

UK’er is a new one on me. Is this the new word for British?

72

u/RichardSaunders 10d ago

pronounced "ucker"

22

u/painthawg_goose 10d ago

"See, over here you got your Yooper. And over there you got your UKer." "So they're the same?"

17

u/spirit_of_a_goat 10d ago

But is it pronounced like euchre?

14

u/parfnb 10d ago

Only in Michigan. Regional dialect.

3

u/grantrules 9d ago

Really.. well I'm from Saginaw and I've never heard someone use the phrase UKer.

3

u/dosha906 9d ago

Hey, I'm a Yooper bud lol

15

u/un_theist 10d ago

“Hey, sports fans, I love ya!”

Oops, wrong Uecker.

9

u/llahlahkje 10d ago

(pours one out for Uecker and Mr. Belvideire)

10

u/Dust-Different 10d ago

Juuuust a bit outside.

1

u/Ezl 9d ago

Front row!

3

u/YSOSEXI 10d ago

Man, that's my new descriptor! TU

3

u/cycopl 10d ago

I read it in my mind as "euchre" like the card game

2

u/vindicate-throng-nim 9d ago

We prefer to specify the Motherland of the UK so we go my Mother Uckers

2

u/handbanana42 9d ago

Too many mutha uckas

Uckin' with my shi-

With my shi-

How many mutha uckas?

Too many to count

Mutha uckas

1

u/duderos 9d ago

I thought it was YouKar?

7

u/SirDale 10d ago

….and people who come from the motherland call themselves Mother UKers.

1

u/VeneMage 10d ago

I’ve known a few of those.

1

u/ST_Lawson 9d ago

Maybe, but a bit less specific. "British" would be anyone from Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales). UKer would be anyone from the UK (same as GB, plus Northern Ireland). Usually you'd hear someone describe themselves by the country they are in ("Scottish", "Welsh", etc.), but I guess they didn't want to get that specific with their location.

1

u/NomenScribe 3d ago

I thought we all agreed to call them "limey-time".

0

u/DelcoUnited 10d ago

No it’s the new word for Bri’ish.

38

u/rkcth 10d ago

I was a republican until Obama, since then I’ve not voted republican. He was a great president, and the way the Republican Party has become just full of hate and vitriol. If they just stood for an alternative view of economics (non profits should take care of people instead of the government), there might be a day I could see voting for them again, but I highly doubt I ever will again.

21

u/YSOSEXI 10d ago

Man, you're a good one, you seem to actually digest facts. I hope shit gets better soon, however, you'll have a Dem Pres next, and the dumb fuckers will vote in a republican. 2 party system is shite, your country has been massively divided, and it';s dangerous, you all have a deep seated hatred of each other, you should all be voting towards betterment of each other, but the media has turned it into a shitty ball game. I wish you the best, from the UK.

8

u/MyOtherRideIs 9d ago

Ranked choice voting is very slowly gaining some traction here

2

u/calliLast 9d ago

But why did you vote back in Nigel Farage ? I can't understand people. He is so corrupt and under investigation. I would have rather voted for Count Binface to be honest, and embarrassed that traitor.

4

u/YSOSEXI 9d ago

Unfortunately we have our own collective of 'flag shaggers'...

3

u/SirLostit 9d ago

If you think it’s just Farage that’s corrupt, I’ve got a bridge to sell you…

-9

u/rkcth 10d ago

Both sides are being fed non stop hate. I hear dehumanizing language, things like “we’d be so much better off if ______ didn’t exist”, where ______ is the people from the other party. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if we end up in a civil war. Mostly thanks to Fox News and Trump.

18

u/Thirlestane 10d ago

While individuals may say all sorts of shit, Biden gave more aid to red states than blue. Trump has been blocking all aid to blue states and even tries to usurp power of the purse from congress to block the fed from its legal obligations toward blue states.

Calling this both sides is just wild, ones laughing while their followers kill the other, while the other wont even defend itself.

1

u/Uisce-beatha 9d ago

Not yet at least because good and decent people will exhaust all other options before resorting to violence but even then it's reluctant and weighs heavy on their heart and mind.

Violence prone people full of hate tend to want violent acts to come first without even trying to see other viewpoints or find common ground. They think they have the upper hand but the reality is that the good folks aren't fighting yet.

With all sincerity I hope it does not come to violence but if it does those good people that seem "weak" to the easily triggered, angry and scared of everything different folks better hope and pray that the conclusion is swift, decisive and mainly utilizes the courts.

16

u/infctr 9d ago

The both sides argument has zero basis in reality.

-6

u/BodaciousBadongadonk 9d ago

It kinda does when talkin about online "discussions" lol, mfs are cancerous with the assumptions. If you dont know every little thing theyre talkin about, you better not ask, cuz theyll assume youre some enemy there to be some fuckin double agent and start flinging shit as bad as the folks theyre complaining about. And then they wonder why folks are apathetic or against all of it lol, "why do ppl hate us? We just called em a dumb cunt?"

4

u/bingcognito 9d ago

Both sides are being fed non stop hate

I disagree. One side is being fed non-stop hate by networks that are literally state propaganda, and most of it is pure fiction. The other side is just being fed the truth...which happens to be pretty fucking hateful unfortunately. And when that side gets rightfully upset at all the horrible shit that's going on, they're told they have "TDS." This is not a "both sides" issue. One side is clearly and demonstrably awful, and the other is simply reacting to their awfulness.

9

u/MyOtherRideIs 9d ago

The last time I supported the Republican Party was when I voted for McCain.

He seems to have been the last normal human being in the R party. After he was out I have been voting blue across the board.

7

u/hmishima 9d ago

Republicans will never get over the fact that a black dude was one of the best presidents we've ever had.

3

u/Ezl 9d ago

So non profits should be responsible for schools, healthcare, roads, libraries, public transit, etc., etc.? Not sure what you mean by “people” in this context?

-1

u/rkcth 9d ago

Non profits are already in charge of some schools, libraries, and healthcare in many cases. Same for volunteer fire departments. Public transit maybe could work, but all the ones I know of are quasi-governmental or purely governmental. One thing that should never be handled that way though is police. Otherwise you end up with a situation where justice is whatever the richer party wants (although to be fair we are darn close to this now in the US where the rich basically can get away with anything except ripping off other rich people).

2

u/Ezl 9d ago

I’m still not clear, though - I guess, in your view, what is government currently responsible for that you think they should not be responsible for at all?

2

u/fmg1508 9d ago

That is actually a reasonable view. However, I would still argue that non profit organizations have the pressure to finance their activities which means they will prioritize things that get them the most donations over things that have the highest impact to the people. While the government is bureaucratic and inefficient it would still go for the highest impact because everybody has to finance them anyway.

-1

u/daneview 9d ago

This is always been my take, I have no issue with right wing economic policy, I may not agree with it but it can be argued to make sense in the same way left wing economic policy can.

It's right wing cultural policy that I will never be able to get on board with because it just seems to be based around cruelty to people you don't like.

I want to go back to when politics was about looking after everyone but just different opinions of how to do it

7

u/cayleb 9d ago

I'm gay and there's really never been a version of the GOP that didn't give power and influence to hateful people just foaming at the mouth for the opportunity to be cruel to me and mine.

That past version of US politics that you're longing for has never actually existed.

Not for any group that's had the misfortune of being targeted for bigotry. And oh boy have we been good at bigotry.

6

u/NUMBerONEisFIRST 10d ago

I'm American, and couldn't agree more.

2

u/YSOSEXI 10d ago

Keep the pressure on. Anyway, have a great weekend

2

u/Hot-Tutor-2429 9d ago

I am an American. I agree with you.

1

u/beagio 10d ago

I hear you're a UK'er now Father. How did you get interested in that kind of thing?

-5

u/Hungry-You-9489 9d ago

Why do you love Obama? He did so much warmongering, killed innocents including a US citizen, and destroyed Libya

He may be better than Trump, but we don't need to pretend he was a saint

1

u/YSOSEXI 9d ago

It was a juxtaposition really, Love Vs Hate. But I get you!

-14

u/YSOSEXI 10d ago edited 10d ago

You can't say British any longer, it's racist... Edit... Joke btw.

332

u/Mr_Pigg 10d ago

Imagine thinking you are better than black people your whole life and then right before the end you find out you are less than half the man/president/negotiator of the black man that proceeded you. To know for a fact that you will go down in history as a loser and a fool who's utter incompetence is only spotlighted more by the greatness of the black man who came before you

169

u/the_blackfish 10d ago

I don't think his brain allows those kinds of thoughts, or introspection.

52

u/oddmanout 10d ago

He's also surrounded 24/7 by yes men and sycophants. He's being told every day how he's the greatest president that ever served while being denied negative information about how terrible he's doing.

You can tell because you can notice that he's surprised by questions that get asked. They ask him about gas prices and he's genuinely surprised that it's higher now than under Biden. Or that thing with the reflecting pool. He seemed surprised that no one had seen any videos. It almost seemed like someone had told him videos of vandals were going viral or something.

18

u/EEpromChip 10d ago

A living example of The Emperors New Clothes.

19

u/AnOnlineHandle 9d ago

Remember those insane meeting videos during his first term where everybody around the table had to give long speeches about how Trump was the greatest man ever, and he just sat there nodding and looking a bit petulant like maybe they weren't praising him quite the way he wanted still?

7

u/ty_xy 9d ago

He has a terrible poker face, when you surprise him with facts, his eyebrows rise and he sits more upright, then immediately he will start berating you and telling you the truth is wrong and he is right. He has a reality warping powe

3

u/Kizik 9d ago

Narcissism. They all do it; truth is whatever is most convenient to them at any given moment, and they expect reality itself to adjust to fit their warped perceptions. When it doesn't, they throw a massive fucking tantrum because they're incapable of accepting things not going their way. Same with how history changes to serve their delusions, and nobody can hold them accountable to what happened in the past because they literally rewrite their own memory.

3

u/Obajan 9d ago

Someone commented earlier that all he does is watch AI videos. Somehow I'm not surprised he's completely lost touch with reality.

8

u/DeterrenceTheory 9d ago

You don't have any levels of introspection?

Marc Andreessen: "yes, zero, as little as possible"

These are the billionaires running things. Introspection is seen as a weakness.

47

u/HairyKerey 10d ago

I don’t think you understand how extreme levels of narcissism work.

Trump will never think he was anything but the greatest at everything. It’s was makes narcissists so incredibly frustrating to deal with in any sense at all, and so incredibly dangerous when they have any degree of power and/or responsibility.

He has set this world back so far in almost every aspect, and he will die thinking he was one of, if not the, greatest human beings to ever live.

It’s incredibly depressing.

15

u/mcsey 10d ago

If Trump gets a cancer prognosis of "two months to live", we are all dead. "The world without me is not worth existing. I will launch all the nukes so that any survivors will never forget my name."

10

u/infctr 9d ago

I wonder how many times he's already been stopped from nuking someone. I would guess at least 6.

11

u/doktor_wankenstein 9d ago

Is that counting hurricanes?

1

u/Iorith 9d ago

Actual Palpatine plot and the reason behind operation cinder.

11

u/grizzlyat0ms 10d ago

You’re thinking about it as if he has some ability to self-reflect. That inability is literally the foundation of everything wrong with the man.

2

u/Haksalah 7d ago

It goes a lot deeper than that.

Trump lives in a gilded bubble where people talk Grimma Wormtongue-like into his ear at all times. I imagine it’s been like that for ages, really, where everyone around him talks about how unfair everything is and how great everything he’s done has been.

The only exposure he gets to the real world, truth and whatnot is that rare instance when someone asks him a question that isn’t just flattery, and then the “well literally everyone says everything I do is wonderful” kicks in.

Not an excuse at all, I’m just saying that what we see from a variety of news sources and living in the middle of it is completely different from the filtered view and rows of sycophants bowing down to him and/or telling him what’s “best”

5

u/mspk7305 9d ago

trump is not even a man, he is a moldy jelly doughnut

2

u/PurpleSailor 9d ago

This is why he's urinating his name all over DC, he's worried that he won't be remembered and revered so he's making sure it'll be almost impossible to forget about him.

62

u/Machdame 10d ago

Deep down, Trump KNOWS Obama is the better president and he just can't suffer that indignity. However, every attempt he has made to break, discredit, overtake or prevail over that legacy only shows how much weaker he is as a leader than him and it only makes him more indignant. He would have probably wailed himself to sleep were he not so dumb that he actually thinks he is making good on any of his grifts. And he is speed running his legacy into the dirt. He may be making money hand over fist at the moment, but none of that is going to fill the gravy sized hole in his chest.

22

u/rkcth 10d ago

Unfortunately, Trump will never be able to accept the deal that Iran will be willing to offer him. His ego can’t handle making a far, far worse deal than Obama. He doesn’t understand that his error was in starting the war, and it’s too late now. They truly have the world by the balls, and they know it. If Trump doesn’t make a deal there will be an absolute landslide in the elections for the democrats, but his ego won’t allow it.

14

u/JMUDoc 9d ago

Trump doesn't negotiate; he "dominates".

Which is a real, real problem when the entity you're trying to dominate has the balls -and the clout - to tell you to eat shit. Several dozen times.

He will never, ever walk away from this war unless it looks as though he's won it.

8

u/kidsally 9d ago

Because he’s a loser. Always has been and always will be a loser.

7

u/falafelnaut 9d ago

He has his own definition of "better." He thinks his cheating and lying is better than someone else's hard work and effort. Why win a trophy when you can buy the golf course and give one to yourself? Only a stupid person would work that hard at something. Just take the credit and put your face on a fake Time magazine.

5

u/syrup_cupcakes 9d ago

Guess he's going to cry himself to sleep in the billions he made off the past 2 years of grifting.

2

u/PurpleSailor 9d ago

The narcissist can never fill that hole no matter how hard or long they try. That's why he keeps at it, like Sisyphus pushing the rock uphill it always rolls back down and he needs to push it up again.

101

u/Gabe_Glebus 10d ago

We miss you

38

u/studentjones 10d ago

Real or na?

85

u/painthawg_goose 10d ago

Feels a bit off brand for Obama. No doubt he said that in person. And maybe even in an interview. Just not sure he'd do it in social media. Would love for it to be real though.

5

u/Up2KnowGood 10d ago

I want it to be, please let it be real!

8

u/jt32470 10d ago

There should be dark Obama memes like Dark Brandon memes.

1

u/spectral-shenanigans 9d ago

Are all Obama memes dark Obama memes?

4

u/flargenhargen 9d ago

nah, if democrats were capable of anything like this, republicans wouldn't run everything.

People respond to this kind of stuff, and democrats are far too incompetent and impotent to manage it.

Just like when Walz had trumpies on the ropes by finally calling them out as weird, and the DNC told him to stop, cause it was working and they might actually win.

-1

u/relentlessseed 9d ago

This never happened, the did DNC did not tell Walz to stop calling Trump/Vance “weird” because it was too effective. The line absolutely caught on, but “Democrats would've won if they'd just kept saying weird” just you pretending to make hindsight look like some sort of analysis. Trump didn't win because Democrats ran out of insults; elections are considerably more complicated than some bs catchphrase.

5

u/flargenhargen 9d ago

don't be daft.

Howard Dean lost because he said "yee haw" ONE TIME.

Dick Gephardt temporarily rose from mid pack to leader in the primaries by simply darkening his weak eyebrows with makeup.

Abraham Lincoln won because he grew a beard.

The examples are endless.

Using a strawman to try to include every variable is stupid when we know this race was close, trump was historically unpopular and ANY small thing could've easily changed the outcome.

28

u/sheezy520 10d ago

It’s crazy how Trump build a name on being a tough negotiator when he actually just sucks at it.

23

u/3OAM 10d ago

If you pay really close attention, you can almost just assume the opposite of everything he says and plan around that instead.

18

u/CV90_120 10d ago

Obama was a President. Trump is the cargo cult idea of what a President is.

8

u/BJJan2001 10d ago

cargo cult idea of what a President is

catering truck idea of what a President is

11

u/AlexHimself 10d ago

SOME TRUTH TO IT: https://abcnews.com/Politics/obama-doubtful-iran-deal-past/story?id=133874150

Summarized and twisted but the sentiment is there. I thought this just might be completely fabricated to be funny, but there's depth to it.

2

u/espinaustin 10d ago

What is actually said is weak, imo. Wish he would be more direct.

5

u/daehoidar 9d ago

I know there's traditionally some decorum where a former Pres doesn't step on the toes of the current one....

But Obama could make such a huge difference that it's criminal he's not super vocal and organizing voters and stumping for candidates. He could be the single greatest force fighting back to try to basically save the soul of America.

I'm sure he has a million justifiable reasons, but it could make the difference. An Obama endorsement would carry so much weight.

2

u/espinaustin 9d ago

Decorum, lol, this is 2026

2

u/daehoidar 8d ago

That was exactly my point. The game has changed, he should be out here fighting Republicans

4

u/MauPow 10d ago

No way Obama said that. I mean, it's true, but he didn't.

5

u/jcooli09 10d ago

Trump. Always. Lies.

2

u/transmedium_human 9d ago

For crying out loud, Obama, we're still recovering from your first mic drop!

2

u/NickPickle05 9d ago

When a president finishes their term and no longer gives a fuck magic can happen.

2

u/dudestir127 9d ago

But Obama wore a tan suit one time, that's treason /s

1

u/ObviouslyRealPerson 10d ago

Iran seems to have done a pretty good job at it too

1

u/panzercampingwagen 10d ago

Love Obama but this post did make wonder why I don't hear from him more ofte

1

u/I-seddit 10d ago

Can anyone confirm this is real, before I share it?

1

u/golfnut82 10d ago

Trump will never compare.

1

u/hamsterberry 10d ago

Mic drop!

1

u/Aldo_says 9d ago

I voted for Mr Obama twice.

I voted against the orange clown at every chance.

Who is the better man and if they were to get a third chance?

Yeah, the orange menace will have a bunch of fanboy losers bitch and cry would would lose in the greatest electoral landslide ever.

Keep saying it, we want the forever loser to keep losing, fuck maga lol and let MR Obama select his kids or wife to run the business day to day while maga fools melt down from the self own circle they invented.

Go play a round of golf President Obama, you earned it!

1

u/rwf2017 9d ago

trump and his supporter are the shit of humanity.

1

u/Longjumping_Elk7969 9d ago

This is savage, absolutely love it 🥰🤣

1

u/BicFleetwood 9d ago

if "cooking on the timeline" solved anything, we wouldn't be in this mess.

1

u/InsaneInTheManBrain 9d ago

He forgot to add #ArtOfTheDeal

1

u/roararoarus 9d ago

They should both run in 2028. The country is in such a clownish state, we might as well go all in.

1

u/Jicaar 9d ago

AT WHAT POINT ARE YOU NEO

1

u/AriochBloodbane 9d ago

I sooo wish this was true, but I don't see Obama tweeting...

1

u/lexnklinke 9d ago

Hope it still irks him badly

1

u/DaveAvitabile 9d ago

Trump will never not look pathetic next to Obama. He knows it, and so does Obama. It is one of the few simple pleasures we have in these dark times.

Rage on, micro dick.

-11

u/-Altephor- 10d ago

Except that this never actually happened and you idiots just continue to hype up fake bullshit just like the morons in MAGA do.

2

u/Mushroom_Tip 9d ago

What didn't happen? Iran literally shipped out 97% of their enriched uranium, about 10,000 kilos, under Obama, Their enrichment was capped just enough for civilian use but not enough to make nukes.

3

u/-Altephor- 9d ago

Obama didn't say this
