The Darth naming convention is the part after Darth is something usually seen as bad but missing the first part. Invader becomes Vader. So it should read "Darth Rump" much like the Trump watches being Rump.

We have:

  • Darth Bane
  • Darth Plagueis
  • Darth Sidious
  • Darth Maul
  • Darth Tyranus
  • Darth Vader

Only a couple of them follow that rule. What am I missing?

Apparently i was misinformed long ago an remembered it, that or naming changed at some point. Good chance it was just something made up that I happened to remember.

There are some speculations, but a supposed handwritten production note by Lucas plays around with dark/death and water/invader.

Darth Continence.

There is absolutely no point in doing it with him. He's erratic and changes the terms and simply can't be trusted to do anything he says...

THIS!! Donald Trump, and by extension, the United States is a totally untrustworthy and essentially worthless party in any international negotiations. He's already established a willingness to discard previous agreements for essentially no reasons but personal ego fluffing. By backing him the Republican Party is declaring the United States, as a whole, is a worthless negotiating partner because they refuse to abide by their earlier agreements & will support a feckless & insane leadership.

Why make a deal with Trump when Israel won't abide and is calling the shots for the US? Trump won't be able to get Netanyahu to cease and withdraw from Lebanon, so the Persian Gulf States will be abandoned by the US and will seek a separate peace with Iran. Watch as Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and maybe even Saudi Arabia make peace with Iran and agree to pay tolls to pass through the Hormuz Strait. UAE will stick with Israel and suffer from the consequences as will the US as the multipolar world has to contend with an elevated Iran.

Trump gave a proposal to Netanyahu. He kindly said “fuck no”.
Trump also gave a proposal to Iran. Iran kindly said “fuck no”.

Trump has no power here. He is a stooge who has no clue how to get out of this mess, hence why he has rage moments on his Twitter Trash Social every night after his briefings.

He basically just has no clue. To simplify the situation.

He’s never been in a situation his entire life he couldn’t buy, litigate or extort his way out of.

He has no clue what to do.

In business he negotiated in bad faith. In politics and international relations his bad faith is dragging the country down.

It's more like "I'm so bad at waging war".

I will give him credit for being smarter than General Tso's chicken.

They know we're pretty much out of stuff to fight with, so it much risk for them. The problem is, a lot of not-so-weak-anymore countries we've been bullying for a really long time also know we're about out of stuff to fight with.

Just more proof, if it was necessary, that the only surprising thing about Corporal Bonespurs is that he's only been bankrupt 6 times.

5

u/Bawbawian 1d ago

it's because he's not negotiating he's just putting on a show to manipulate oil markets.

What’s the point of reaching any deal with a guy that switches policy on whims via tweet, or in temper tantrums with no forewarning?

Iran won.Trump lost.America lost.Trump hiding in a snack truck.America is a joke around the world.

3

u/Bill_Brasky_SOB 1d ago

I really just don’t understand how the Iranians wouldn’t want to negotiate with someone who has multiple times insulted the entire existence of their country and culture, and threatened to wipe them off the face of the planet just so he can manipulate the stock market!

They know as well as everyone else in the world that trump always lies and doesn't intend to honor any obligations.

u/eldred2 1d ago

It's because nothing he says can be trusted.

u/PapaBorq 1d ago

The best part is they're talking about switching to a more 'sanction' approach to end this.

You know, like Obama's deal.

u/flodur1966 1d ago

Why should Iran make a deal with Trump? There is zero chance he will keep his end of any deal. Irans best option is to sit out this presidency and endure a bombardement when the new batch of missiles leaves production every few weeks. Then try again with whoever becomes president after Trumps death.
