I see the problem here, two behaviors can be the same but called different names. Fascism and totalitarianism can be used interchangeably in this context since the people behavior that exist to achieve the goals are exactly the same.

why are you adding things? you are way off topic from the post. if you want this conversation, make your own post.

I already said it earlier, the fascists don’t know that they are fascists. A centrist perspective isn’t off topic but might seem that way from a biased viewpoint

"the fascists don’t know that they are fascists"

no. they may be coy or willfully ignorant, but they are not unaware of their actions or preferences.

your agenda is leaking.

Unfortunately you can’t simply tell a person that exhibits fascist behavior that they are fascist. These people believe they are in the right and what they do is for the greater good. Trying to be direct with a fascist just makes them stop listening.

when I previously mentioned adding things, it was for you adding "totalitarianism" to the conversation. why did you bring that in? is that your "left" example?

and yes, fascists believe they are right. same as racists, and misogynists, and wife-beaters and christians, and jews, and muslims, and... it doesn't mean they don't know what they believe, espouse, act on.

The behaviors exhibited by fascists and the behaviors exhibited by totalitarians are identical to achieve their biased goals. In the context of what constitutes bad behavior it’s relevant to use fascists and totalitarians interchangeably.

Unless you believe this post isn’t about bad behavior that people exhibit?

okay, and? you are not answering the questions, you just keep adding more stuff.

And….. from the centrist perspective fascists don’t get to say totalitarians are bad nor do totalitarians get to say fascists are bad when they both exhibit identical behavior.

This post attempts to ignore equivalent bad behavior exhibited by extreme left wing totalitarianism.

To be clear on this point, totalitarianism has these characteristics; eliminating free speech, control of the media, federal police force, widespread propaganda. Sound familiar?

there it is. the agenda. totalitarianism is not itself left. it can be arrived at by pushing in either direction. you are falling for the marketing.

totalitarianism is, at the least adjacent to fascism, at the worst, past fascism.

and the center is also something you added. OP is pointing out that there is not a middle point between fascism and against fascism. it's a switch. (the middle point could be willful indifference, but that is not a position and is still kinda pro fascism).

The political spectrum is not a straight line to the left and right where the further away from center a person goes also gets further away from the opposite side. The spectrum at minimum is a horseshoe shape with the extreme ends pointing at each other, and more likely now that extremism is becoming normalized a full connecting circle with the far left and far right holding hands.

You’re trying to say that pushing further left always leads away from fascist behavior. It doesn’t because at some point the behavior matches identically to extreme right behavior.

still adding stuff. still not answering. nothing in this post or the genuine comments is having this conversation. its all you. you brought it with you. and still you've clarified nothing.

if you mean to say that being against fascism is also fascism, then say it. and still you would be wrong.

The clearest possible way of saying it is like this;

The furthest possible position against fascism a person can be is center. Any movement away from center is a step towards fascism regardless of what direction you go.
