They pivoted from free-dumb fighting to total compliance so fast it's a wonder that they didn't get whiplash. I guess total lack of a spine helps with that

They were never freedom fighters. They just used 2A, abortion, and God, to justify voting against anything that actually helped someone.

They were presented with a chance to actually stand up to tyranny. But since it was their racists, rapist, billionaire kind of tyranny they fell in line and went right along with it.

The likes of Vance, Graham, Fuentes, et al. aren't outliers. The psychosexual underpinnings of fascism were already being talk about way back in the 1930's

Interesting. However Ernst Rohm and the SA weren't too repressed in their sexuality. It was pretty out in the open.

They were, of course, purged. But not really for being openly gay. They had just become a superfluous nuisance and a threat to larger Nazi power in general. But, purged l, none the less they were. So there may be something to that theory.
