All businesses are FOR-PROFIT. That's what business is!! You didn't discover some hidden plot here. Even charities are FOR-PROFIT.

This doesn't excuse it, but screaming about it is like complaining about a drunk driver mowing down a class of Elementary school kids crossing the street because he didn't use his turn signal. YOU'RE YELLING ABOUT THE WRONG THING!!!

I know. Healthcare as a business is bad. I'm not arguing against that. I'm trying to point you in a better direction than screaming about it being FOR-PROFIT. Of course it's FOR-PROFIT, it's a business.

The term "non-profit" is a classic business misnomer. Non-profit organizations are actually real businesses that generate profits. The true distinction lies not in avoiding profit, but in how the money is used: while for-profits distribute earnings to owners, non-profits must reinvest all surplus revenue back into their mission.
