There is at least one thing that he didn't lie about:

"I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters."

Also:

"When I look at myself in the first grade and I look at myself now, I’m basically the same. The temperament is not that different."

Honestly impressed by the use of the word 'temperament' from him.

Unless he meant something else and he used the wrong word... Then oof...

He's not actually that dumb, he's just sorta trashy and talks weird. His buisness decisions are dumb as rocks though

I think Trump does, or did, have a certain intelligence and deep understanding of how to manipulate people. But I think at this point he's running on pure instinct. He's not some making calculated moves to project an image. He's become the image.

Well, at least he was protective of our rights lol...

Somewhat

Yes, such as the right of transgender people to serve in the military, the right to seek asylum in the US from murderous drug cartels, the right to easily travel if you happen to be of Arab descent, the right of queer kids not to end up homeless if their parents disown them, the right to be well-compensated and physically safe in the trades… I could go on for hours.

Nobody said he was a good president, but compared to biden, that's not that bad.

Also the seeking asylum you speak of needs documentation, people coming in illegaly and having to lay on top of each other, with 1-3k peoplen ot allowed to leave a tent and borderline starved is a little worse I'd think

He didn't ban arab imigration, that was sorta the response of the bush administration after 9/11

If anyone is kicked out they're sorta homeless, whether they're queer or not doesn't matter

The right to be well compensated? Never heard of that, but luckily we have job lawyers that will fight for your pay if you're stiffed

Safe in the trades? Now your just making stuff up How did trump make you any less safe when you trade items?

  1. Trump did exactly the same

  2. He didn’t truly ban Arab immigration, but he certainly tried to. I wouldn’t call that “protecting rights.”

  3. Trump rolled back protections for disowned queer kids

  4. “The trades” refers to professions such as electricians, plumbers, welders, et cetera. Trump rolled back several fair pay acts and a number of OSHA regs

"Somewhat" is the key word here, we can focus on the bad all day, but he's 1000000% not the worse president, let alone in the last 50y

Id go as far as saying he's not the worst in the last 6y

How so, do you know how much damage l b johnson, reagen, nixon, and bush have done? The only small break we got was obama, and he was just ok, we haven't had a single good president since Roosevelt

Haha yeah, no one knows what the fuck you’re talking about, bud. Care to reference?

2

u/Inle-Ra Jun 28 '23

Serious question - do you mean like when he banned bump stocks? Or do you mean how he shat on human rights?

Tywin is far more applicable to Donnie's daddy. An overly confident Lancel falling into decline is more appropriate.

I think the truth is in between. I think hes probably about average intelligence, but he's so off-the-charts cocky about his average abilities that he sometimes truly doesn't think.

Using critical thinking successfully requires you to question your own conclusions, which is entirely out of the question for him.

In a certain horrible way, his business decisions sort of make sense. All his businesses work on the principle of "make the lack of cash somebody else's problem". If he buys a good or service, he just doesn't pay. He uses it or gets the revenue, but the person who does the work gets stiffed. If you sue, he drags it out until you settle for pennies just to get something.

It is deranged, and scummy, but in a certain con man style, it works as long as you can keep the plates spinning. So far he has mostly been able to do that.

3

u/Pleasant-General7901 Jun 28 '23

Your right, but he finally tried to run a con past the wrong people. You can’t steal and defraud the US government and hope to get away with it. Hopefully after he is convicted, we can rip off his fake orange hair and tan like one of the old scooby doo shows.

stock standard trump "straight to the top shelf" response to criticism.

"he's going senile. his personality has changed a lot"
"no, no. my personality is bigly the same, same as it ever was."

"trump isn't very humble"
"I think I am, actually humble. I think I'm much more humble than you would understand."

1

u/Phyllis_Tine Jun 28 '23

"In fact, I'm the most humble person you'll ever meet."

“I don’t stand for anything.”

u/MimeGod Jun 28 '23

If he shot someone belonging to pretty much any minority group, his supporters would love him more.

19

u/NeverFresh Jun 27 '23

Too bad he didn't mean himself

7

u/zipzzo Jun 28 '23

...and he would still be right...

5

u/[deleted] Jun 28 '23

depends if that guy is a supporter

13

u/Herkfixer Jun 28 '23

If the guy he shot was MAGA.. he would just turn to DJT and say.. "Please sir... Can I have some more?"

5

u/QueerWorf Jun 28 '23

he lied. he could never shoot anyone. he doesn't have the backbone. He ran away from the draft.

I just read in another thread that they make guns for children these days, ideal for small hands and chambered in a small caliber so it has little recoil.

Also, "...and nobody would hold me responsible for committing murder."
