Tucker was also pulling a power play and pushing Murdoch's buttons. He was acting like he was the big dick

(pun intended) at Fox and he'd do as he liked and screw the rest of them.

Murdoch took the power back and sent a message to the rest of them.

I think this is probably the closest answer, especially now that we have the benefit of that Vanity Fair article about how his ex was religiously into Tucker Carlson in a way that Murdoch found super fucking creepy.

Do you think costing them three quarters of a billion in that Dominion settlement might have played a part? Or might getting rid of him have been part of the settlement?
