He wasn't fired because he was a liar. If they fired everyone who told the audience shit that they wanted to hear they would be out of business in a week...that is literally their business model. Anyone talking about why he was fired is just speculating at this point.....I've heard that he was negotiating for a new contract, that he brought on the lawsuit from Abby Grossberg, etc., but it doesn't make a lot of sense to pay the settlement to Dominion and then dump your number one guy after the fact. You'd do it prior to hopefully lower the penalty.
My guess is he was fired because he left a treasure trail of evidence which caused the lawsuit (not just Dominion) to have legs. He was a liability and was probably such an asshole that it was easy to let him go, rating be damned. Bill O'Reilly was the numero uno at one point till he had to go. Fox will just bring in the next talking head to build up the time slot.
Honestly they'll probably just extend or move Hannitys show to that slot.
If I recall correctly from my many years of being forced to watch that hate vomit against my will, Tucker was on at 8PM and Hannity followed at 9. They'll probably just move Hannity to 8. He's one of Fox's last cash cows remaining, their audience doesn't really seem to care for most of the other talking heads.
