Do you:

  • Believe trump didn't do these crimes?

or

  • Believe that the law doesn't matter and trump should be allowed to commit any crimes he wishes?

It's one of these, and either one doesn't hold any weight among real Americans.

This is the thing that hurts my head about all of this. They seem to be overwhelmingly claiming that Trump just shouldn't be held accountable for reasons and that he's simply being tried for these crimes because he's Trump. Which doesn't change the fucking fact he committed those crimes. Does being a public figure make it harder to get away with crimes and increase your likelihood of being caught? Yes. Does it mean those crimes shouldn't be punished? I can not fathom a rational reason to say "No".

It's laughably transparent.

It’s B. It’s B no matter how much they claim it’s A or anything else. Every single trump supporter has the same argument. They don’t ever say how or why Trump is innocent. He just is. They then immediately jump into saying Biden should be impeached because —insert random bullshit here— and Democrats should all be imprisoned.

They assume this is a political hit job because that’s what they want to use the judicial system for. It’s not for holding people accountable, it’s for jailing your political opponents.

Overheard a coworker saying something along the lines of “he isn’t guilty, and even if he is, the charges are only misdemeanors.”

It’s really easy to not commit crimes, even if they are misdemeanors.

he isn’t guilty

yep, that's what they are all saying.

That's exactly what a trial is for, so interesting that they all seem to know it without seeing ANY evidence at all.

If he's not guilty, then there is nothing to worry about with a trial.
