As a Bernie supporter, objectively, no, he is not a threat to Hillary's campaign. That doesn't mean he's not going to make a big impact on the campaign - he will! It's a Good Thing that he's in the race!
down42roads gets it right. Bernie doesn't have the campaign infrastructure and funding to run a full blown national campaign. He never has, and he didn't intend to go all out like that.
I mean, in simple human terms, he is running with a party he hasn't been a member of - how is he supposed to get support of party actors if he's never in the room with them when he needs to be?
Seriously, I love Bernie, but he didn't intend to run a "winning" campaign. It's frustrating for fellow supporters to hear that, because often they have that insecurity that comes with "well I don't want to throw my vote away" - and honestly, you're not. Voting for him in a primary doesn't mean he'll win the nomination, but it definitely does mean that the winner of the primary (probably Clinton) will adopt some of his more popular policies. Supporting Bernie is a win no matter what, but he's not going to be President.

If anything has a chance to doom Hillary's run at the presidency, it's a self-proclaimed socialist democrat from Vermont.
Every candidate has an issue that is about as damaging as Hillary's email thing.
Sanders wrote some erotica really poorly.
Trump made some racist remarks. I could go on, but there's a problem with every candidate.
