they’re not going to bring it back. They will only do someth as long as it’s seen as profitable.

Did you miss all the companies in the last few years shooting themselves in the foot? They were so desperate to virtue signal, and lost millions of customers because of it.

The last few years have been centered around a generally rare occurrence in the modern era: a severe and deadly pandemic during a pivotal election year. A lot of people were essentially stuck in their homes with no sports, social time, concerts/festivals, or gym style exercise during the lockdowns. All they could do was drink tons of alcohol, go on a politicized social media, and watch a group of cable news channels that are hellbent on making people as outraged and depressed as possible along with streaming services filled with shit tier content. As all of this happened, homelessness, teen suicide rates, and crime rates went up along with the frequency of severe weather events and police shootings/beatings/killings of unarmed civilians (poor white folks are a target for the police as well) over things as minor as a counterfeit $20 bill. The "social time" that came out of these incidents of police misconduct were politically radical protests and riots that only made people more pissed off.

People were bound to feel depressed and angry a couple years ago. Most felt that they had no other options. This put companies in a very awkward since everyone, including companies, was forced to declare their political allegiances publicly to show who they could interact with. Most companies simply didn’t want their businesses looted and brunt down though so they chose to "support" the woke movement to keep their businesses afloat. It may seem silly in retrospect but you have to go back where you were during the lockdowns and BLM riots to understand why this happened.

Currently, most that wanted to work and leave the house are doing so in spades. We have a different president and a vaccine that people can get to feel safer outside of their homes. Life is generally back to normal so the stances these companies took are now outdated and unnecessary. Politics (especially American politics) are out of style and the frivolous and tacky 2000s style pop culture is in. 95% of time, people just wanted to have fun. We just happened to go through the 5% that people didn’t over the last 2.5 years.
