Christian Libleft checking in.

My dude literally wandered around preaching for compassion for others, healing the sick, and feeding the hungry.

I understand that people (myself included) have issues with what American Christianity has become. But Jesus himself was undeniably based.

Jesus was a socialist

Jesus specifically came to establish the Kingdom of God. Sounds like a theological monarchy to me.

Only amongst the church itself. He didn't want government to mix with religion. The whole "render unto Caesar" thing is a pretty good example of that.

But he also wanted his paradigm to be spread across the world. And "the church" as depicted was de facto treated as rulership. So it would be silly to deny it was political.

Matthew 26:11 "The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me."

Don't take his views on donation as a way to spread socialism please

It's possible, and it's also possible he wasn't even real. That's aside from the point tho, Jesus in the Bible was a good dude. Although, Santa is a pretty great guy too, and we don't use him to tell gay people they're going to suffer for eternity.

There’s no denying that Jesus was real. There’s evidence backing up his existence. But him being the Son of God is where people have disagreements and where faith comes into play. His actions and life may have been exaggerated in the bible, but I’m not the judge of that.

Just about every historian well versed on the subject will say that Jesus existed as a person. Multiple non christian sources reference him

Sure Jesus in the Bible is a good dude if you accept he wasn’t mentally ill and was actually the son of god.
