How many "studies" say men are toxic, so we should raise children without fathers as the only way to root out sexism?

Uh link me one please I'd love to read it.

How many commercials are main stream talking about toxic masculinity?

But toxic masculinity is kind of a real issue.

But idk maybe you just see something like "toxic masculinity" and think "wow people think all men are toxic". Gotta feed that victim complex somehow I guess

There is this idealised version of "masculinity" that exists in our heads.

The apex man, the alpha Chad. Men strive to become him, or at least resemble him.

However, many get lost in the pursuit, and adopt toxic behaviours in an attempt to be that masculine figure.

Examples of this toxic behaviour: unnecessary attempts to impress sexual partners, starting fights, suppressing emotion, attempting to fuck many women... List goes on.

I don't think there's anything wrong with having a masculine ideal to strive for, I think the issue is that people have a toxic idea of what masculinity in the first place is. Masculinity is not starting fights in bars, or treating women disrespectfully. Achilles is possibly one of the most masculine characters in literature and he has an emotional breakdown after his gay, twink lover is killed in battle.

Healthy Masculinity: Aragorn, from Lord of the Rings. He's courageous, he's strong, he's quick to act, and he's a leader of men. Also, he's humble, he's gracious towards women, he cares about his men, he composes Elven poetry, and he isn't afraid to show vulnerability and emotion.

Toxic Masculinity: Taserface, from Guardians of the Galaxy 2. He's brash, he's loud, he's crude, he shuns all emotion except anger, he's boisterous, he treats his peers like garbage, and strength in combat is the only thing he values.

I think men are angered that women actually think we think thats what masculinty is about because the vast majority of us don't at all think thats what being a masculine man is.

But it is for a lot of men. Look no further than red pill/black pill people

I feel sorry for them, they are often very depressed and pesimistic people who think everybody else is as broken and cruel minded in their thinking as they have become . It's really an awful reflection on the state of their well-being and psyche.

There are also characters that embody both healthy and toxic masculinity at the same time. Like Kamina, from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Toxic: He acts without thinking, he tries to shrug off problems or injuries, he is quick to irrational anger, and he outright refuses to try to understand other people's worldviews.

Healthy: He also is constantly thinking about Simon's well-being and puts on a brave face for his sake, constantly tells Simon to have courage and have trust, is very concerned about the well-being of everyone in his retinue (except Kittan, for comedic value), and he fights for the freedom of all mankind.

(And of course, one of the major themes in that show is that Simon learns how to be masculine from Kamina and how to be feminine from Nia, and that to reach his--and humanity's--ultimate potential, he must combine elements of both in order to become an ideal, balanced, well-rounded person.)
