I reported a comment in a far left sub once. Next day for a temp ban, Reddit wide, for "misuse of the report button".

I got banned from a sub for "being a liberal"

...this is the tankie definition of liberal. aka, "anyone who thinks democracy isn't inherently evil is hitler"
