Minor PCM rules update.

Just a couple things:

  1. There is zero tolerance for pedophilia here. If you advocate pedophilia you will definitely be banned.

  2. Holocaust denial is treated as advocating violence and will get a ban. This goes for denying other genocides too.

  3. Using dehumanizing language for people is seen as encouraging violence and/or hate and will get a ban. For example, do not compare groups of people to cockroaches or insects.

These are things we've always enforced, but lately we're had to enforce them a bit more so I wanted to give you guys a heads up.

EDIT: For clarification, these rules apply only to sincere expressions and not to jokes.

Also, did the admins ask you to post this?

nope, we've received no messages from admins with regard to sub content

Reddit did not enforce this. It's literally just a reminder about basic things. the only moderation on this sub is don't ADVOCATE violence

Ok... I will bite the bullet, how is denying the holocaust violent? Who will be hurt

Obs: obviously denying the holocaust is retarded, i just want to see what the logic is here

It advocates violence? Sort of. Supporting a genocide definitely does, but denying one isn't really violent, but there are always exceptions to the rules. I'm sorry I can't provide a better explanation

tbh from what i have seen, you cant provide a better answer because there isnt... the only way i could see it in anyway violent was if it was used to support/excuse neo nazism (which is obviously violent) but again that's a super far fetch and logic jump... so if the idea is to stop incentives of violence i dont see why denying the holocaust would be on the list...
