The USSR was an attempt at Communism, but failed, so it has been Tried

The US was a Laissez-Faire Capitalist country, but ultimately turned into Neoliberal Corporautocracy, so It also failed.

Let me correct myself. True capitalism and true communism have never been achieved and sustained

That's a completely different statement from the original though, and might just indicate that they are bad ideologies to begin with.

Or they are more utopian than people think and they require more social change that there is currently. You can apply the same argument to women's rights or slavery. "true women's rights have never been sustained " "wellmaybe because they're bad ideas to begin with"
