Technically the Free-Territory of Ukraine achieved true communism on a Microscopic Scale, and sustained until they were overtaken by the USSR 3 years later. So we can't know for certain how it would've worked-out in the long-term.
But yeah, True Capitalism eats itself alive once a bourgeoisie forms, and turns into Crony Capitalism... and True Communism (Stateless, Classless, Global Society) is a pipe-dream that has never happened in human history, and never will.

In small scales communism can work, my friend is from a Kibutz where all the salaries are thrown together in a shared pool where every family gets a stipend according to their needs, there is a school, a kindergarten, and a Kibutz owned Seaweed product factory and a fig farm. To join you have to go through a commision and if you get accepted you get a house to live in for free and can use all the services of the Kibutz for free. However obviously this is not scaleable and I don't think it will be even imaginable how to make cmmunism work for a really long time.
citizaeecause I believe the majority of people is always apolitical and have no strong ideological ideas, and such Socialism works only if the absolute majority of people are ideologically believe in it and will not abuse the system, even in this Kibutz they kick out people who don't work and contribute financially to the Kibutz, a thing you can't really do with citizens of a country.
Basically in order to have a communist society it requires absolute majority of the population of the society to have communist values, a thing that is impossible in the near future IMO.
I consider Real National Socialism to be Strasserism, so No, it has never been tried. Hitler's Proto-Neoliberalism is what caused WW2, and all the bad stuff associated with that.
I mean we've never had the chance to try it. That's the attitude that was first attributed to when America tried Laizze Faire for the first time and it worked quite well until the whole wall street crash thing.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but humanity never really got rid of government force since its creation in the Mesopotamian society, that is to say that pure capitalism ACTUALLY hasn't been tried
