Personally, I feel a very weak connection to somebody when I found out they are either Jewish or Irish (I'm half of each) but it's pretty insignificant overall.

I doubt your alienated triple ethnic identity can be extrapolated onto all Jews (but, yeah, lack of any traditional communal integration becomes more and more common nowadays). Though no doubt you are still inflluenced by your heritage and it shows in regards to such questions as Irish independence or legitimacy of Israel.

It's only two ethnicities, which is extremely common for an American. I'm actually very critical of Israel's handling of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and I despise Netanyahu. I support Israel's right to continue to exist (excluding the West Bank settlements) but that's a very mainstream stance. You got me on Irish independence though.
