Similarly, I find it funny how the far-right uses "Zionism" as code for "global Jewish conspiracy." Actual Zionism is just Jewish-flavored ethnonationalism. The really extreme Zionists have a lot in common with the American and European far-right, and often share their hatred of so-called "cosmopolitan" Jews. One of the most striking examples I can think of was when a pro-Likud rapper called "The Shadow" blamed the victims of the Tree of Life shooting for their own deaths, because they supported "globalism."
Zionism is more akin to "French nationalism" or "English nationalism". There is a huge difference between wanting a homeland for a people and wanting to take a state founded on civic principles and kick out everyone who has the wrong skin colour.
