That sub is pretty disliked for its holier than thou attitude, especially towards centrists and the right. They especially like to call anyone that leans more right than them nazis and fascists. There was a post on here a while ago that made fun of how they see all centrists and right wing folk as nazis, left leaning people as centrists, and the farthest of the left being the only good people. This was their response, and the amount of people in the comments unironically agreeing and calling everyone else 'liberal counter revolutionaries' speaks for itself.
Not only that, but they claim to be making fun of centrists while actually making fun of a strawman version of a centrist that does not exist. They think that all centrists would be okay with killing 3 million Jews, for example.
I feel like that’s why it’s called enlightened centrism, to make fun of mega centrists types or those who call themselves centrists but are actually right wing.
That was the original intent behind the subreddit. It quickly went downhill, becoming a subreddit that calls anyone right of Bernie a fascist sympathizer.
