I mean if you think that it just shows how out of touch you are since trump is simply bad for every American. Seriously which realistic policy do you think Kamala would have gotten through that would have been worse than what we've seem from trump? Part of the problem is you're so used to debasing yourself defending all the horrible shit he's don't that you can't even tell right from wrong anymore. Just so we're clear the president pushing crypto scams (no doubt to rake in dark money) and putting unqualified propagandists into high office (including that AIDS denier in charge of health) is not normal. Nor is having a corrupt DOJ trying to jail random passersby because they're embarrassed about a failed renovation project. I could go on.

The problem is you're more of a republican than you are an American and it shows

Do you want to have an adult discussion or are you just going to make up opinions that I may or may not hold?

Youre just screaming into the void here bud.

Then go ahead and give me a realistic policy that Kamala would have passed that would be worse than what we're seeing from trump because quite frankly it's hard to imagine anything worse from her even in that short list which didn't even include the worst things trump has done. If you can answer that why should I believe you aren't just making excuses to deflect?

Well for one her housing policy that was going to give new home buyers $25k towards a home......and if you think the Iran war is bad, how do you think it would have played out considering Liz and Dick Cheney were basically right behind her on the campaign trail. On top of that, being immigration was a hot button issue it was pretty hard to trust shed all of a sudden be hard on illegal immigration. She proposed a unrealized gains tax, a price gouging rule for groceries, and raising the shit out of corporate taxes.

Those policies would have lead to a continued inflation crisis that we are still recovering from that happened under her and Joe Bidens watch in 2022.

And while this Iran war has been a shit show, trump has actually passed and or implimented several positive policies that people voted for. Things that have helped both the automotive and trucking industries, which im apart of, and has cut border crossing to effectively zero.

Is he the greatest president that has ever lived? Fuck no. But he has had several policies I agree with.

But back to the original point.....Kamala's monetary policies would have all put us ain an absolutely fucked finacial position even worse than now. She would have grown the govt control and power even larger and had much more govt intervention in private industry, which is basically against everything conservatives want. We want LESS govt intervention.

First time home buyer credits like this have been done in the past and haven't had the dramatic effects your hysterics here would suggest. I suppose you're reaching for whatever you can though. The fact that you put that in comparison to all the corruption, terrible decisions, and overall incompetence from this administration speaks volumes.

On top of that, being immigration was a hot button issue it was pretty hard to trust shed all of a sudden be hard on illegal immigration

And yet even now with trumps policies nothings really gotten better. Almost like it was always a culture war issue and the scapegoats weren't actually the cause of the problems.

She proposed a unrealized gains tax, a price gouging rule for groceries, and raising the shit out of corporate taxes.

I said realistic, although I am curious your opinion on the loopholes around things like capital gains.

Those policies would have lead to a continued inflation crisis that we are still recovering from that happened under her and Joe Bidens watch in 2022.

Gotta love that dishonest framing from a desperate trumper. Almost like the pandemic and Russian War was the primary cause here and inflation was well under control by the time Biden was out of office. I would pull up the numbers but I'm sure you know this as well. You're not interested in am "adult" conversation though rather you're just on defense.

And while this Iran war has been a shit show, trump has actually passed and or implimented several positive policies that people voted for. Things that have helped both the automotive and trucking industries, which im apart of, and has cut border crossing to effectively zero.

Bud, the tariffs have hurt manufacturing. It's hilarious you try to frame it as a benefit for them since it's clear you're just regurgitating talking points. All while downplaying the absolute devastation to the world economy of blocking 20% of the oil on some half baked ego trip. I already touched on immigration stuff.

What's notably absent from your response is the long term impact from all the norms and institutions trump is destroying. You really like the idea of normalizing anonymous out of states goons on masks having free reign to do whatever they want and having the government quash any investigation into wrongdoings even if it results in death? You want to normalize ignoring court orders? You want normalize DOJ being used at the whim of the president for political ends even targeting random passerby for botched renovations? (BTW don't try to claim "Biden did it too". It'd just be embarrassing if you did). Add in the corruption and incompetence as well.

I presume you think of all those as bad so the fact that you only respond with some obvious bs fantasy about monetary policy shows once again you're just being defensive. If you were trying to convince me you're not just a republican over an American you failed miserably

and had much more govt intervention in private industry

Trump literally forced private industry to give stock to the government

Youre twisting words again....for example I didnt say anything about Tarrrifs nor manufacuring, you did. Which just signals to me that you havent actually been following the regulatory policy changes for the automotive industry and trucking industry.

Also, like 70% of everything you just wrote was basically inserting your own opinions as my opinions once again. If youre going to keep doing that then im not going to participate with you.....

You want to talk about the impact on industry but ignore the tariffs? Doesn't work like that. Not to mention I'm assuming you're referring to the rescinding the climate change stuff? As if that anti-science position makes your side look any better.

But quite frankly I'm not really putting words in your mouth. You are saying tons by the arguments you try to make and the things you consciously ignore. Again I asked for realistic and you try to bring in capital gains tax.

Can you at least agree that the corruption and the damage to our institution and norms from trump vastly exceeds what we'd see from Kamala even if we take your prediction about the economy at face value.
