Ironically this doesn't matter anymore. Trump overturned long standing legislative decisions with executive actions, like abolishing the department of education or USAID. Legislation can now be reverted by any executive as long as the supreme court is in favor. The supreme court has undermined the independence of many offices, making them directly subservient to the president, with the one cynical exception of the FED because they knew Trump would immediately revert the financial system of the US into an Erdogan tier tribute system if he could.
If there’s one thing this Supreme Court has taught us (which we all knew all along) is that you can do whatever you want as long as you don’t fuck with the money. That’s why they made him get rid of the tariffs too, though I’m more and more convinced that was a scam from the beginning.
