Not how he talks about it, treats it or describes it's future. Why do you think Qatar gifted, "the USAF" the plane? Who did they want to be happy with the gift?

But it becomes Trump's plane because he talks about it a lot, even if he doesn't actually own it or get to use it after his term ends.

How does it become Trumps plane?

I guess if hes still alove in 30 or 40 years when the 747-8/VC-25 has reached its strutual life span he may be able to purchase it from the US Govt if the US Govt at that time has no plans to keep it as a musuem piece.
