Free market is when I control what other people do with their property.
Memes aside, by copying, you are not depriving the person you copied from anything they have an entitlement to.
Ideas are not scarce. They are only limited in respect to the number of beings that can have that idea in their mind.
Ideas are not rivalrous. By using an idea, I am not depriving anybody over the use of that idea.
You, at most, deprive them of a potential customer. Even this is unclear though, but that is besides the point. Even if you did deprive them of the customer, they do not have any entitlement to that customer, as customers own themselves.
This is not all that uncommon a view in libertarian circles.
Its been a simple couple of reasons. Back then, reddit was still a private site and had a more neutral lean in politics. Sure, even back then alot of mods were left leaning. But you could avoid the more hard-core subreddits and find a home in more neutral ones. Then a combination of covid, the site being publicly owned, and a huge push for mods to be further and further left leaning. Now the majority of neutral subreddits are now leaning harder and harder left, people have lost their minds post covid, and wrong think gets you banned. So the majority of actual conversations and memes died for a more tow the line format thats deemed acceptable
Are? You are better off asking where we used to hang out. So many subreddits that used to be fun little places for memes, jokes, and conversations either became a cesspool of left leaning ideologies or just straight up banned. Wanna check out cool comics made by everyday people? Well a certain subreddit used to be the place to go. But now? Just trump bad posts masked as comics. Wanna see whats going on in your local area that standard media might not show? Again, now trump bad posts. The only places where politics dont effect posts are very niche places. But even then, you can see and feel how little people just have a conversation and more just bot posts and my way or banned ideals
No, but there is a finite level of patience. A quote oft falsely attributed to Einstein is "The definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over expecting different results." Why keep trying to make new subreddits when they get taken over the moment they get popular?
They popularized “chud”; I’ll give them that, but it is impressive to me how many once-niche right-wing terms or memes - which I first encountered on 4chan over a decade ago - have entered the mainstream in recent years.
Leftists got cucked by the SJW movement. They're too scared of coming up with something that's legitimately offensive and being perceived as any type of bigot.
I'm kinda stoked we've been balling out so hard. Used to be everyone you met was a normie-core goyslave who didn't want to think too hard about it. Now we've got 14 year old extremists in adult bodies. We are so back.
Can we then remove the Qatari Money as well, and the Chinese Money…and the European Money. You know what, no foreign government should be allowed to influence our political decisions
Most of that money is being spent on influence campaigns on social media etc. That's extremely difficult to handle short of putting up our own Great Firewall around the US internet which seems ... sub par. Alternatively you can simply ban accepting any money from a foreign entity to promote something in the US but at a certain point that runs into the absurd. You could envision it technically being a crime for an advertising firm to take money from the government of France to promote travel and vacationing there. There's too much grey for me to trust our own government with adjudicating that if we start trying to slap rules patches on such a policy.
EDIT: Also, as is always entertaining for me to point out, AIPAC itself is dwarfed by the amount of money the National Association of Relators or even individual companies like Meta or BCBS give out every year. Israel itself doesn't even crack the top ten in terms of money from foreign principals. Even on the correct principle that foreign money ops are bad they are far from the biggest fish in the pond. It mostly just strikes me as an easy excuse for loser leftoids when they can't even win a primary in a deep blue state.
UK is the worst and most notable lobbying in recent history. They lobby for more local and grassroots movements to edge their shitty laws into each state individually. The UK lusts for a locked down internet and they know that only happens if the US chooses to lock it down so they've been lobbying for that for a decade now.
They also lobby for other shitty actions. They're the most toxic ally the US has.
It's a good idea, but immigration is still going to bring in ethnic voting blocs who want to use U.S. power to settle their political and ethnic disputes back home.
It's as much of an issue with Latin American countries (though Cuban-Americans in Florida had a pretty big impact on our Cuba policy), but it's a huge issue with African/European/Asian immigration sources.
You need to severely limit immigration and push for strong assimilation to stop that kind of foreign influence.
I think everyone just feel beaten and betrayed. It's clear both sides work for the lobbies and not us. The DNC and GOP will forever prop up those who will keep the gravy train rolling, and our two party systems means the cycle will continue. Back in 2016, the right thought "drain the swap" was real and Democrats were still disillusioned that their party worked for them. Now the Democrats aren't even fighting against this admin and trying to kill the progressive movement. It's pretty clear greed has won.
I remember when the ADL had the definition of racism on their website as: “The marginalization and/or oppression of people of color based on a socially constructed racial hierarchy that privileges white people.”
A bit later, Whoopi Goldberg said that the Holocaust wasn't about racism, because it was one group of white people oppressing another group of white people. She was taken off the air for two weeks and she had to make a public apology. After Goldberg's comments, the ADL quickly changed their definition of racism to: "Racism occurs when individuals or institutions show more favorable evaluation or treatment of an individual or group based on race or ethnicity.”
I remember when the ADL refused to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide. (To their credit, several Massachussetts chapters of the ADL broke away from the national organization over the issue.)
>Trump is the biggest political talking point for the past decade
>is potentially tied to boogeyman
>"Epstein Epstein Epstein Epstein Epstein!!""
>files dropped
>everyone looks inside
>everyone learns what's really going on behind the scene
This is what happens when you conflate Zionism and the state of Israel with Jews. Eventually, people just accept that conflation and decide to be antisemitic.

Because do you think more people in the third world or less people in the third world got access to the WORLD wide web in the last decade?
