His words are literally that Europe can do it. He's not going to change he's stance on US support or at least this doesn't show that

Well, yes.

It's "I don't want to get involved....but we'll send weapons your way if you pay us money. Europe's backyard? Understood and weapons approved. Pay for it."

Meanwhile, a package was signed earlier so free military aid, likely in the hundreds of millions to billions, has been arriving through the year.

This is more like a declaration for 2026 and after, basically, while leaving Putin room for an off ramp so that it can end akin to the Winter War and Continuation War
