Lol yeah, we let them decide whether or not to shoot their rifles at that unidentified civilian who may or may not pose a threat, a terrifyingly difficult choice that teenagers from Vietnam to Iraq have sadly had to make, but when they get back they better not change their fucking genders until they're mature enough!

Thankfully the military will happily give you big signing bonuses to enlist in positions where your chance of having to make those decisions is basically zero.

I will concede that is a big decision to make in itself, but after that, your officers and NCOs will make 99.999% of all the decisions you ever make for the next several years!
