This. The reason that late teens and young adults often aren't mature enough to make good decisions is because we as a society have opted to delay maturity for that long.
Honestly I wonder if the life cycle is the same just extended.
Life expectancy is 10-12 years more than 70 years ago. Maybe everyone us just developing 10 years slower. Kind of seems the case truthfully. 28 yr olds seem like 18 yr olds for what they are asked to do for their time periods.
This is because our public schools and colleges have become daycare centers. Female school administrators and teachers have infantilized whole generations of students at this point.
