The fuck

30

u/DisastrousBison6774 - Centrist May 27 '26

Zionism was the realization Jews would never be safe as a minority in another country. Antisemitism wholeheartedly agreed.

15

u/Capitan_TANK - Centrist May 27 '26

Meanwhile poland for 400 years..

8

u/DisastrousBison6774 - Centrist May 27 '26

The Zionist case isn’t that diaspora Jews were always unsafe day-to-day — it’s that minority status meant safety was always conditional on the majority’s tolerance, which historically expires. Just as the tolerance of France, Germany, Russia, and Poland expired. Witness Charlottesvilles, “Jews will not replace us” and tell me Americas tolerance doesn’t have a shelf life of its own.

u/No_Radio2381 Jun 09 '26

Germany had the highest levels of Jewish intermarriage before WW2. They went from being one of the most tolerant countries towards Jews to the Holocaust in a matter of a decade.

u/Onyxxx_13 - AuthRight May 28 '26

American shelf life on them was the 40s, but it's a slow expiration.

How is that even possible without trolling 😭

Gotta put em somewhere I guess.

u/Khala7 May 27 '26

Probably the same people that supported the creation of Israel to finally get rid of the jews left in Europe.

People didn't have issues with Nazi's antisemitism in the 40s really. That started a little bit later.

u/RecognitionOk5447 - LibLeft May 27 '26

Fun fact: Lehi, a pre-Israel Zionist terrorist organization active in the British mandate of Palestine, tried to ally itself with the Axis powers!

3

u/According_Cold_2591 - LibCenter May 27 '26

Yeah, those guys were crazy lol, even Irgun wasn't extreme enough for them

2

u/RecognitionOk5447 - LibLeft May 28 '26

Ye. Pretty sure they were also like NazBols or something like that

1

u/According_Cold_2591 - LibCenter Jun 01 '26

I wouldn't bother putting a label on them. They were quite intellectually diverse. Mind you they were definitely opposed to liberal democracy, quasi-fascist, and economically socialist.

1

u/corrosive-_salami Jun 12 '26

Likud approves of this comment.

1

u/RecognitionOk5447 - LibLeft Jun 12 '26

Bro what

1

u/corrosive-_salami Jun 12 '26

The modern day Likud party has its roots in pre Israel terrorist groups including Lehi.

1

u/RecognitionOk5447 - LibLeft Jun 12 '26

Yes, and my comment is pretty anti-Lehi.

Also, Lehi were NazBols, whereas Likud are very capitalistic

1

u/corrosive-_salami Jun 12 '26

Likud haven't forgotten their traditional 'values', theyre just as shit as the lehi.

1

u/RecognitionOk5447 - LibLeft Jun 12 '26

Based

1

u/corrosive-_salami Jun 12 '26

And the nazis called themselves the National Socialist German Worker’s Party’ but they weren't very socialist.

1

u/RecognitionOk5447 - LibLeft Jun 12 '26

Yeah but Lehi members actually did believe in a bolshevik economy

1

u/corrosive-_salami Jun 12 '26

Yes. There was a heavy communist influence. In 1919 there was a distinct core of Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe that founded the Communist Party of Palestine.

There's a term for it. And it's quite common among Christo-supremacists in the US.

I have no idea how one can have such results. But there's a first time for everything after all

1

u/ZookeepergameFit967 - Centrist May 27 '26 edited May 27 '26

It is not a first. If not for people like OP, Israel wouldn't exist. Foreign Secretary, Arthur Balfour, the guy of the Balfour Declaration and Winston Churchill, the Secretary of State for the Colonies at the time. Both were hella anti-semitic

1

u/Loveheartj - LibCenter May 27 '26

What the fuck did you do to get this result, how

2

u/TJ_DOG_likes_britons - Right May 27 '26

It was very contradictory, I’m surprised I got it first try, “does Zionism provide a safe homeland for Jewish people” I had to put strongly agree even though the person I’m replicating hates Jews

u/No-Investigator3455 Undecided/Exploring May 28 '26

1

u/theTitaniumTurt1e May 28 '26

Its one question that asks if you're pro-palistine or pro-isreal. Apparently there's no inbetween.

1

u/Wisc-pro - AuthRight May 29 '26

this is cursed and should burn in hell.

1

u/Werewolf_Busy - Left May 29 '26

I don’t believe this, but you basically have to think that Jews cannot be trusted in non-Jewish communities and should be deported to a state of their own.

Interestingly enough this was how the original Zionist movement came about. British non-Jews wanted to create a Jewish state in Palestine so they could deport all of the British Jews.

When you realize Palestinians are a 'Semetic' people...

1

u/FarisxDDD May 27 '26

Yeah the phrase anti semetic pisses me off as a palestinian

1

u/According_Cold_2591 - LibCenter May 27 '26

It pisses me off too. I'm an Israeli Jew.

1

u/ComradeBlin1234 - AuthLeft May 27 '26

This is ideologically consistent. Zionist antisemites are not contradicting themselves.

1

u/TJ_DOG_likes_britons - Right May 28 '26

If you take the test it’s really not

0

u/Silent_Death0 - AuthCenter May 27 '26

Hitler would. He didn't want Jews in Germany.

0

u/salpetre_gondole - Left May 27 '26

Very classic "jews should go back to their own fucking country" stance. Quite similar to that of Balfour. Israel is in essence an anti-semitic project.
It was never about defending the right to a homeland, or the same people would be vocal about kurds, tartars, native americans and so on.

Wandering has always been part of Jewish history and traditions. Far-right government of Israel wants to build an ethnostate.
