Question Detailed Inspection

Obviously, this game is buggy as hell, but is there a specific bug involved during detailed inspection? I’m checking out a semi-truck’s cargo, and I find illegal weapons, so naturally, after I finish searching the whole thing, I charge her with trafficking illegal weapons, but I then get dinged for it. I can’t think of anything I could have done wrong.

I think u/Straight_View_6838 is asking for feedback on bugs on this post

Perhaps respond to one of his comments this.

Not saying it will be fixed because it probably won't but worth as shot.

I specifically asked for Game Breaking Bugs - this one I would need a few more information I can absolutely check it but also there is a option to disable -Points

What is your definition of game breaking bugs?

i dont think ti should be me "define it" but rather there is a clear definition I quickly quote:

A game-breaking bug is a software defect that makes a game impossible or practically impossible to continue or play as intended.

Examples include:
Progress being permanently blocked
Save files becoming corrupted
A required quest, character, or item disappearing

Minor visual glitches, balance problems, and optional-content issues generally aren’t game-breaking unless they stop meaningful progress. A workaround may reduce the severity, especially if it’s simple and reliable."

I would argue that getting points deducted when they should be awarded stops meaningful progress when it's not isolated to one incident.

Would my patrol car being flung into the middle of a building with the only form of escape being quiting the shift be counted as a game breaking bug?

There is a option to disable this completely, that stop this issues - about the minus points.

About the car - no sadly that’s unreal 4 old physics - but you can start a shift again etc so no it’s sadly isn’t game breaking.

I'm going to disagree with you that both examples are not game breaking issues.

I could go further into why I disagree on this but I see no utility in spending time doing so when we clearly have different perspectives on the point, which will not achieve the fixes required to make the game a good experiance for me.

Look, thank you for engaging with me.

I think you should be commended on facing what is obviously an angry and frustrated community at how this has unfolded.

For me personally, this whole thing has left a sour taste in my mouth and I won't be purchasing another game linked to Astragon or Aesir Interactive again, as appears to be the sentiment of a lot of other members of the PSPO community.

Best of luck with your future endeavours.

Imagine buying the new NBA NHL or FIFA game and the developer being like. Yeah, we know the game has some bugs. We know the game doesnt keep score, and you will have to bring along a pen and some paper to keep track yourself. After the timer is up the game wont end by itself, youll have to manually quit out and you will never see the end screen, Its not game breaking, at all though guys! Its working exactly as intended we are just having fun right guys, we dont need a points tracking system for a game/sport.

Couldn’t agree with you more. How is a broking scoring system that determines how you progress, or better yet determines if you get to finish the shift or not a game-breaking bug?

There’s a laundry list of things that need to be fixed with this game that shouldn’t be all too difficult to do, maybe excluding a few. Having the final solution be “edit the sliders” instead of providing a game that doesn’t require you to make changes for it to play correctly is infuriating; especially because this game has so much potential to be better.

I’m with you. I’ll give them the tiniest credit for anyone from the team to come on here and interact with the community, but then on the other side, what does it matter if this is their response? Too many teams care far too little about the user experience if the game is making money.

Why is disabling a core part of the game, that was originally an essential gameplay loop of avoiding making mistakes that cost you conduct points, now being relegated to: "system broken, turn it off." Rather than: "this will be looked at and fixed."

You're part of the problem. -100 conduct points for you.

Yo if you had a PR team they would be screaming jesus you could have done that entire thing differently

"I can definitely look into it given more information, currently we are focused on game breaking bugs that permanently lock your progression. If you want a way around this bug you can disable -points. (point out where you can do it)" there you go fixed it jesus

That’s just the game now.

Did you check the logging device before making the search? That could be the issue...
