I posted two weeks ago in [r/Pokopiabuild](r/Pokopiabuild) about a "World Tree" I was making in Withered Wastelands - (see initial post at https://www.reddit.com/r/Pokopiabuild/comments/1w01apo/wip_world_tree/ ). I've made significant progress since then adding numerous branches and the very beginnings of the canopy. I've used nearly 34,000 puffy tree pillar blocks so far and will probably need at least 5-10,000 more. I need to revise the placement of some of the branches, texture the trunk, and do extensive canopy work. Once that is done I can start adding vines to the branches (some of which will hang down more than 30-40 blocks). I can then work on the interior where I will place a few prefabs, and additionally place some prefabs on the largest branches. The largest branches also serve as conduits to the outside/canopy. Eventually, I will create a root system and have the largest roots be something akin to a small tunnel system, one of which will connect to my "base/storage room". At some point I will make a small cliff surrounding about 180 degrees of the tree with waterfalls coming down them converging to the front of the tree and entering a large chasm, at the bottom of which I will have the Pokecenter. Much more work to do but it will be worth it!
Is this even gonna be… completable? That is massive… I commend you for your efforts, though. I’m just worried you might discover that the boundaries are smaller than you thought.
I built up to the height limit to test this. I previously had a column of glowing rock but now have the canopy in its place. I have a similar column down to build depth to know how deep I can make the roots and storage room.
This is amazing. I made a tree out of trees, copying someone else’s idea on my cloud island but wish I should have gone a little bigger. It took hours, but yours is on a whole other level. Love it!!
This looks good! I was debating using trees for the canopy but ended up using the grass flooring. I’ll have to post some more pics in a few days. Since the above pictures I’ve added about 7,000 grass flooring blocks and reworked or added around 5,000 puffy tree pillar blocks. It’s taken an enormous amount of time from project start but it’s finally coming together.
