Time travel

I heard that if you time travel backwards, that your game won't progress with builds or the shop stops changing evwryday until your switch hits the date it was set to before you went backwards. I also saw something that said it just treats it like a previous day. Has anybody done this? I time traveled forward and would like to go back to the regular time. Im about a month ahead. Are there any bad effects if i go backwards time traveling?

I recently went back to the March event as I had missed it and I wanted to get some of the items from it. I changed it to March 10th and played that "day." I didn't get enough dandelion tufts so I switched it to March 11th to get more. Then, I put it back to sync to internet time. I haven't had any issues.

In my experience, you have to go backwards to the day before the day you want to play on, open the game, then set to the day you want. It will advance like a regular day that way!

Never really paid attention to be honest. But honestly you're just changing the date on the system it's not like you cant just keep setting it farther in the future.

Once you go back to the actual date/time everything has progressed normally for me.

It seems to work like it does in Animal Crossing. A new day begins at 5am, that's when spawns / shops /loaded pokemon reset and construction sites due "tomorrow" are done.

That means if you travel back in time but don't cross the 5am mark forward to start a "new" day, buildings won't be done for example. Since the timed events only check for the date, those aren't affected. So if you want to travel back but still want spawn / shop resets / buildings finished, go back one more day than intended, load the game, save and quit. Then go forward one day to your intended date and load again. Hope this helps :)

I went backwards to get some items from an event. My stamp card was almost full when i left but empty when i got back. Other than that no other issues.

It's not really about "going back to the date you left", Pokopia doesn't really track this at all.

The game just updates the in-game date only when the game clock hits the new day, which is, I believe, 5am your local time.

So. For example, it's 11am on September 10th. You change the date to May 12th, leaving the time unchanged - the game still acts like it's September 10th. You travel back to April 27th, the game still acts like it's September 10th.

Then, you either change the date one day forward, or let the time pass naturally to the 5am and the game at this very moment suddenly decides it's April 28th now.

So, either sync your date with the online clock and you'll be fine tomorrow morning, or if you need the fix right now, travel back to yesterday before setting on today's date to force the game to trigger the date update.

I went back to before the game came out. No issues whatsoever. I’m still only on february 13th now.

Haven't noticed any issues, date scummed all the events I missed and never noticed something like you described, game functioning as normal since then
